In order to better facilitate professional development for teacher educators and better prepare tomorrow\u0026amp;#39;s teacher educators it is necessary to effectively and successfully integrate ICTs in their classrooms and therefore it has become necessary to examine teacher educators attitude towards ICT competencies and their uses of ICT in their respective courses being taught. The objectives of the present study ids to find out whether there is any significant difference in the attitude between male and female, graduate and post graduate, trained and untrained, rural and urban teacher educators towards information and communication technology competencies and its usage. A random sampling method was taken and a sample of hundred teacher educators was taken from four different teacher training colleges of Aligarh district. A self-constructed questionnaire was developed by the researcher and was used for the collection of data. The results of the findings indicate that most of the teacher educators expressed positive attitude about integration of ICT into teacher education programs as well as a positive and healthy attitude towards ICT competencies and its usage. The findings of the results revealed that the attitude of the teacher educators towards competency and usage in ICT is not affected by their gender, qualification and ICT training but it is affected by locality. The teacher educators who are belonging to rural and urban areas have been found to have significant difference in their attitude towards ICT competency and usage. Owing to:: Teacher Educators Attitude Towards Information And Communication Technology Competencies And Usage-An Empirical Study the knowledge explosion and tremendously fast changing ICT, the teachers sometimes find it rather difficult to cope with the new intellectual challenges being thrown up by the changed global and local context. This is probably one of the main reasons for the inadequate academic, professional and pedagogic preparation and insufficient level of knowledge and skills of the faculty. The teacher educators therefore need to acquire new knowledge and reliable and authentic information about the use and implementation of ICTs in the teaching leanring ICT can enhance the quality of education in several ways, by increasing learner motivation and engagement, by facilitating the acquisition of basic skills, and by enhancing teacher training. ICT provide-motivation to learn. ICT such as videos, television and multimedia computer software that combine text, sound, and colourful moving images can be used to provide challenging and authentic content that will engage the student in the learning process. The study was conducted in urban areas of Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2016. A total of 150 samples which include students and their teachers of secondary level classes selected randomly by government and private schools. Data collected by self made questionnaire which is standardized by specific subject experts. For data analysis t-test was used in research. The result revealed that significance differences shown in use of ICT as an educational tool in secondary school education on the basis of teacher&#39;s age. The hypothesis was rejected. ICT in school management system will assist schools to plan for the effective use of digital technologies in their everyday practices to prepare students for the demands of an ever-changing world, to achieve powerful learning and teaching, and improve learning, teaching and administration. ICT as any object which allows students and teachers to get information through to electronic communication. (Singh &amp; Mishra, 2016) ICT have demonstrated potential to increase the options, access, participation, and achievement for all students. All in all, this is not surprising since the windows of opportunity that ICT offers for the development of knowledge economies and societies are open also for education. A number of issues may hinder schools and teachers in their efforts to fully benefit from these windows of opportunity. They may not be able to afford the equipment, they may lack access to the Internet, or suitable materials might not be available in their own language. However, a fundamental issue is whether teachers know how to use ICT effectively in their teaching. Clearly, the way ICT is used will depend on the subject being taught, the learning objectives and the nature of the students.
