Most of the teacher and teacher educators are still using the traditional methods of teaching and learning, which emphasizes on content. These traditional teaching and learning activities are mainly designed to consolidate and rehearse the content. But , now a days many technologies are associated with the teaching and learning. The students are more aware about the technologies in the present days. This result in communication gap between teacher educators and student teachers. Technology is a tool that can promote greater learning, but only if its use is planned and carried out with a goal in mind. Its use should also address individual fears and hopes and helps all involved in learning. A teacher must know that how and when these tools should be used. In present scenario, when we are focusing on competency, performance, reflection and critical thinking, than effective use of ICT can be an answer to all these requirements of teacher Education in our DIET as well as in our country. Government should organize the mandatory training programs for teachers focused on IT skills development. These programs should cover a wide range of topics, including basic computer literacy, digital content creation, educational software usage, and online teaching The purpose of this study was to evaluate the competencies and frequencies of use of MS-Office and Internet, in teaching learning process by the prospective teachers and Teacher Educators, of GECEs in Sindh Pakistan. The research design was descriptive survey. Data was collected through closed-ended questionnaires from teacher educators and prospective teachers. Data was analyzed through percentages. Findings of the study showed that teacher educators and prospective teachers had admitted that they had good knowledge of MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint, but use of MS-Word, MS-PowerPoint was not very frequent, MS-Access and MS-Excel were most negligible software, no one used them. However,, Internet 232 good infrastructure, and facilities. A strong theoretical model and pedagogical understanding are needed for the innovative teaching use of technology. In this study we describe theoretical background of our ICT education and development of teacher trainees ICT-skills and pedagogical understanding. The students&#39; study module is based on Mishra and Koehler’s TPACK-model (2006).The data was collected during two years from two student groups (N=52). Results indicated that, in general, the studies have made it possible to acquire the technological competence and to combine the pedagogical knowledge with the technology. The results of the study clearly state that the education supports understanding the use of ICT. The results show that understanding the pedagogical use of technology has emerged. The objectives of the study were; 1) to analyze novice teachers' use of ICT for teaching purposes at secondary school level. The population of the study comprised all the secondary school teachers who taught to the 9th and 10th classes. Researchers selected 200 secondary school teachers through simple random sampling techniques. Questionnaire was used as a research tool for data collection. Data analyzed and interpreted by using appropriate statistical techniques in terms of frequency, percentage, mean score and standard deviation in the light of objectives of the study. In the light of findings this research study shows that the use of ICT gadgets and other resources help for effective teaching at secondary school level. The institution has internet facility to support teaching. The study concluded that those secondary teachers who use ICT resources social networks and YouTube and help with social media during lecture, their teaching become more effective. It is also concluded that ICT makes teachers efficient communicator and facilitate in the gathering and dissemination of information.
