solomon</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">The study investigated the effects of ICT secondary school teachers and students perspectives in Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State. All junior secondary schools teachers and students were randomly selected as sample for the study. In all a total of 14369 junior Secondary School Teachers and Students participated in this study. The instruments used for data collection are Teachers Attitude towards ICT Questionnaire (TAQ) and Teachers-Students ICT perception and usage Questionnaire (TSIPUQ). The data obtained for the study were analyzed using T-test statistical analysis to test the four (4) hypotheses generated for the study at 0.05 level of significance. The findings revealed that; there is a significant difference between teachers attitude and the level of ICT usage in teaching and learning process, there is a significant difference between male and female teachers attitude towards the use of ICT in teaching and learning process, there is a significant difference between the level of ICT usage between Rural and Urban teachers in teaching and learning process. Based on the findings, the following recommendations are made for effective teaching and learning among junior secondary schools: That schools should facilitate greater access to ICT and its related components by students and teachers, Train schools’ principals, teachers and ICT support staff on proper use of the ICTs and its related technologies, and its applications government should continuosly organize seminars and workshop for science teachers for the promotion and the application of computer gadget approach to classroom instructional process in junior secondary The study was conducted in urban areas of Lucknow city of Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2016. A total of 150 samples which include students and their teachers of secondary level classes selected randomly by government and private schools. Data collected by self made questionnaire which is standardized by specific subject experts. For data analysis t-test was used in research. The result revealed that significance differences shown in use of ICT as an educational tool in secondary school education on the basis of teacher's age. The hypothesis was rejected. ICT in school management system will assist schools to plan for the effective use of digital technologies in their everyday practices to prepare students for the demands of an ever-changing world, to achieve powerful learning and teaching, and improve learning, teaching and administration. The specific objectives were; to assess the availability of ICT facilities in the schools, to assess the knowledge of the teachers and students on the use of ICT facilities in teaching and learning, to ascertain the extent to which the teachers and students make use of the available ICT facilities, to assess the perceived usefulness of the ICT to teachers and students, and to determine factors hindering the availability and use of ICT facilities in the schools for teachers and students use. Stratified sampling technique was used to group the students into homogeneous subsets of classes/levels of study after which convenience sampling technique was used to select samples used for the study disproportionately. Data were collected from the respondents through self-structured and validated questionnaire. Data obtained were analyzed and presented using frequency distribution table while chi-square was used to analyse the stated hypotheses. Based on the findings; there is availability of ICT in the schools, however, not all items needed for smooth running of ICT were available and the existing ones are insufficient, both the teachers and the students have some degree of knowledge about ICT but such knowledge is seriously limited as most of the teachers and students were not computer literate, most teachers and students were not making use of the available ICTs in the school and those who made use of it were inconsistent in their use of the ICT facilities even though most of them believed that ICT use in teaching and learning is very essential for better and quality education. Factors hindering the availability and use of ICT facilities in the schools were multifactorial as shown in the study. The study employed a descriptive survey method and questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The total population for the study is one hundred and twenty nine (129) secondary school teachers in four selected secondary schools in Etsako west local government area of Edo state. The population of this study is not too large and as such the entire population was taken as representative sample using purposeful sampling technique. It was revealed from the study that ICT is not employed as pedagogy for teaching by majority of the teachers in the secondary schools studied, most teachers have negative attitude towards the use of ICT, a majority of the secondary school teachers studied have positive perception of perceived ease of teaching and learning with ICT and Lack of ICT facilities in secondary schools, lack of commitment from government and school management, lack of motivation and training, lack of ICT policies in secondary schools, lack of technical support from government and private sector, lack of qualified teachers to teach ICT and Teachers' anxiety over being replaced by technology are the major factors militating against teachers readiness and effective use of ICT in secondary schools in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state.
