This was a descriptive research of the survey type. The population comprised the 580 secondary schools in the state, out of which a sample of 150 schools were randomly selected for the study. Seven hundred and fifty teachers were randomly selected as the respondents. Questionnaire tagged Information Communication And Technology for Teaching and Learning (ICTETLQ) was used to elicit information from the respondents. Data collected from the questionnaire were analysed using frequency counts percentages and Pearson Products Moment Correlations for research question that was raised. Results showed among other things that ICT facilities were not adequately provided and teachers not adequately exposed to ICT training. It was recommended that State Government should provide the schools with ICT tools and facilities for effective teaching and learning. Parent-Teachers Association, old students association and Non-Governmental Organisations can also assist by providing ICT equipment and encouraging teachers to imbibe the use of ICT for teaching and The study investigated the level of availability of ICT facilities in schools, the capacity for using ICT facilities for teaching-learning process, the perceived benefits of using ICT and the problems facing the use of ICT in secondary schools. It was found that the level of provision of ICT equipment to secondary schools in the State was low. The intermittent disruption of electricity and inadequate funding were found as major problem inhibiting the usage of ICT equipment for the management of schools in the State. It was concluded that the State Government was not fully ready to imbibe (ICT) for the effective management of secondary schools in the State. It was recommended that the State government should supply the necessary ICT equipment to all secondary schools in the State. A lot of work had been done on attitudes of teachers but little is known about teachers' perspectives of using ICT in schools. This paper therefore, draws on the teachers' perspectives survey of secondary schools in Ede South local Government area, Nigeria on ICT use. The study was designed to investigate the public secondary schools teachers' knowledge of ICT, the types of ICT available to teachers, the ICT skills possessed by the teachers and the attitudes of teachers towards ICT use. The study adopted descriptive survey research design. The population of the study covered the 133 teachers in senior secondary schools of the local government. A well self-designed questionnaire with r value of 0.843 was developed to collect data. Descriptive analysis of frequency count distribution and mean score were used to answer the research questions raised. The results showed that many of the teachers have idea and knowledge of what ICT is but not many of them can use it effectively. It was also discovered that most of the teachers need to upgrade their knowledge on ICT use and skilled-based application. Teachers also showed positive attitudes towards the use of ICT in enhancing teaching and learning. A sample size of 400 (300 students and 100 teachers) was used for the study. Simple random sampling technique was adopted to compose the sample. Three research questions were answered. QTSEICTUC was used for data collection. QTSEICTUC was objectively used to investigate the extent of utilization of ICT tools, how ICT tools are used to evaluate teaching/learning processes and the constraint to effective utilization of ICT tools by teachers and students. Mean with standard deviation was used to analyze the data obtained from the respondents. It was found that ICT tools were not utilized in the school. Electronic devices and softwares which aid the spread of information constitute ICT. These devices have impacted positively in education through lesson preparation, instructional delivery, individualized instruction, and collaborative learning. Despite the positive roles of ICT in education, there is paucity of information on its use by secondary school computer teachers and students in Nigeria. The study was thus designed to assess ICT usage among secondary school computer teachers and students in Nsukka Education Zone. The study population consisted of 51 computer teachers and 4242 students while the sample size comprised of 51computer teachers and 520 students. A survey research design was adopted for the study. Data was collected using an instrument titled 'ICT Usage Assessment Questionnaire' validated by three experts in computer education. Data were presented as frequencies and percentages. The results of the study showed that ICT was not used effectively in lesson preparation, instructional delivery, individualized learning and collaborative learning of computer studies in public secondary schools in the Zone. A combination of multistage, stratified and simple random sampling technique was used in selecting the sample. A questionnaire titled "Challenges of information and communication technology for secondary schools teachers (CICTSST)" was designed and validated. The data obtained were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages, mean and bar chart. The result of the findings showed that: ICT facilities are not available in schools. Majority of the teachers and students do not have access to ICT. There are significant factors affecting the utilization of ICT for instructional purposes. Its introduction in the educational system has had remarkable impacts in the achievement of educational set goals and objectives. However, the use of ICT has been faced with enormous challenges ranging from inadequacy to short supply of electricity. Most of the needed facilities that would have aided teaching and learning from home were neither available nor inadequate. More so management and teachers of secondary schools are not adequately equipped with requisite knowledge on usage. And so, while the developed nations moved on with their education system not feeling the impact of school closure, the developing nations could not do much because most of the needed facilities were either unavailable or inadequate. The study employed a descriptive survey method and questionnaire was the instrument used for data collection. The total population for the study is one hundred and twenty nine (129) secondary school teachers in four selected secondary schools in Etsako west local government area of Edo state. The population of this study is not too large and as such the entire population was taken as representative sample using purposeful sampling technique. It was revealed from the study that ICT is not employed as pedagogy for teaching by majority of the teachers in the secondary schools studied, most teachers have negative attitude towards the use of ICT, a majority of the secondary school teachers studied have positive perception of perceived ease of teaching and learning with ICT and Lack of ICT facilities in secondary schools, lack of commitment from government and school management, lack of motivation and training, lack of ICT policies in secondary schools, lack of technical support from government and private sector, lack of qualified teachers to teach ICT and Teachers' anxiety over being replaced by technology are the major factors militating against teachers readiness and effective use of ICT in secondary schools in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state.
