Arastirmanin orneklem grubunu, Ankara’nin farkli ilcelerinde hizmet veren 5 farkli fitness merkezinin uyesi 85’i kadin ve 224’u erkek toplam 309 kisi olusturmustur. çalışmalardan oluşmaktadır. Petrou ve Bakker (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ölçekle beraber boş zaman becerikliliği nicel olarak da ölçmek mümkün olmuştur. Petrou ve Bakker (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ölçek daha öncesinde Türkçeye uyarlanmamıştır. Bu doğrultuda, çalışmanın amacı ise Petrou ve Bakker (2016) tarafından geliştirilen boş zaman becerikliliği ölçeğini Türkçeye uyarlamak ve çevirmektir. Bu maksatla İstanbul'da özel üniversitelerde okuyan 391 öğrenciye anket uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliliği ve güvenilirliği elde edilen verilere göre test edilmiştir. Araştırma test tekrar test yöntemiyle toplam 748 öğrenciden toplanan veriler ışığında yapılan analizlere dayanmaktadır. Veriler 353 katılımcı ile KMO-Barlett testine tabi tutulmuş ve örneklem büyüklüğünün analizi yapmak adına uygun olduğu (.92; 3366, 957, p<0,001) belirlendikten sonra açımlayıcı faktör analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Açımlayıcı faktör analizi ile geçerli bir yapı oluşturulmaya çalışılmış, 5 alt boyut ve 23 maddeden oluşan nihai ölçek formuna ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan açımlayıcı faktör analizi sonucu kesme değeri .40 olarak alınmış, açıklanan varyans değerinin toplamda %57,53 olduğu döndürülmüş bileşenler analizinde 5 alt boyut altında toplandığı saptanmıştır. Ölçek maddelerinden birbirine yük verdiği tespit edilen 7. madde testten çıkartılmıştır, ayrıca 5. Alt boyut maddeleri ters kodlanmaktadır. Test tekrar test yöntemiyle 395 katılımcı üzerinde yapılan ikinci veri toplama işleminden sonra yapı doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile sınanmıştır. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizinin yapı geçerliliğine kanıt oluşturduğu görülmektedir (RMSEA .070, NFI 0.96, CFI 0.96, NNFI 0.96, x 2 /df 2.94). The research was conducted on 447 university students from various faculties of Gazi University, Turkey. First of all, lingual equivalence of the scale was applied. Explanatory (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used for validity analysis of the scale. In the result of the EFA, Being in English originally, this scale consisted of 15 items and 4 dimensions. While the number of the items were exactly the same in the 'leisure attitude' and 'scheduling', 'goal setting and technique' was 6 items and 'evaluating' was 3 items. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was applied to test the four factor construct of the scale. Internal consistency coefficient of the whole scale was found to be .83 and test retest reliability of the scale was found to be .86. Study participants were totally 277 women in Ankara (i.e., capital city of Turkey). They ranged in age from 18 to 63 years old (Mage = 32.70± 10.05). The participants who were chosen using a random sampling method filled the “Leisure Boredom Scale (Kara, Gürbüz and Öncü, 2014)”, “Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale” (Çuhadaroğlu, 1965) and “UCLA-III Loneliness Scale” (Durak, 2010). Descriptive statistics, t-test, MANOVA, ANOVA and regression analysis were used to analyze the data after testing the assumptions of parametric tests. Analysis indicated statistically significant differences in mean scores of leisure boredom, self-esteem and loneliness with regard to marital status (p< 0.05). While the participants’ boredom perceptions and loneliness level differ in favor of singles, self-esteem scores differ in favor of married participants. On the other hand, no significant mean differences were tested in self-esteem and loneliness scores (p> 0.05), there were significant mean differences in the perception of boredom scores with regard to participating physical activity regularly or irregularly (p< 0.05). Calismanin orneklem grubunu, yas ortalamasi 21.05 ±2.06 olan Gazi Universitesi ogrencisi 260 erkek ve 301 kadin olusturmustur.
