In order to achieve the objectives the researchers made a descriptive type of case study research design as a qualitative research. The study population was a special school of learners with disability in the village of western Tobago. Due to the homogenous nature of the population three learners among the 35-40 students were chosen as per the direction of the school principal who were observed for a month at three days per week. Three teachers were directed to make three lesson plans on teaching them with the help of music for a month and the lesson plans were revised by the researchers before implementation and then two of the teachers were deep-interviewed with guided open-ended questions. This was done with the approval of the principal and an indication that all protocols were being followed along the design and collection of the study. Thus, natural observation over the learners and focus group interview helped to collect the data for the purpose of the research. Approach: Our work aims to validate the need for inclusion of music that enhances and enables the integration done at every stage of growth and school staff. We believe, from this premise, which is not sufficient for the inclusion or the simple acceptance within the school to say that the students are integrated, but &quot;integrated&quot; means foster interpersonal relationships in compliance with the personality of each. The method introduced leads the individuals involved in research and discovery of new sources of enrichment due to &#39;musical approach through the activities proposed in the form of play, and group work, using various types of language tasks and calibrated according to the difficulties arising from of persons with disabilities. Proceedings of the International Scientific Conference</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">The article presents the case study, which highlights the limitation of physical, social and self-expression needs, caused by disability. It is concluded that the needs of the disabled transformed during music activity and changed their hierarchy – the social needs and self-expression have become more important than physical. The disabled has established himself as an older and more experienced person’s identity, giving the advice and assessments on musical themes; a partner’s and a friend&amp;#39;s identity - he has not complained about his pains, and has learned to notice the other people&amp;#39;s emotions; the physical opportunities have extended as well – the disabled started exercising and began to show more willingness to move in the wheelchair. The possibilities of perceiving music through compensatory aids, playing musical instruments, vocal intervention and rhythmic-motor education are part of a more comprehensive mapping of music impact to the life quality of individuals with hearing impairment. Attention is also given to the extent of music therapy for the development of hearing and spoken language skills. We suggest, however, that although in some cases music could be used in special education interventions for individuals with hearing impairment during childhood, it is gradually disappearing from their lives as it has already fulfilled its supportive role in the acquisition of spoken language. In the research findings we offer an elaboration of the interviews of four participants with hearing impairment, who confirm through their experiences that music has positively influenced their life and their personal development. The participants actively listen to music, play musical instruments even after completing music therapy and music education, and they also form currently an important part of their leisure time activities.
