At the start of each new semester, you will receive a fresh "U-Pass Benefit Code". To obtain your U-Pass for the current semester, simply input the new benefit code into the Umo App. This ensures continued access to transportation services throughout your academic term.</p> <h2>+ What if I can’t download the Umo App?</h2> <p>We’re all about accessibility. If you encounter any challenges accessing the Umo App. You can submit a <a href="https://0jxqw8x0ook.typeform.com/to/HfLPEKgd">request for a Physical Umo card</a>.</p> <h2>+ The Umo app is unavailable in my Google Play Store (ANDRIOD).</h2> <p>The Umo app may be unavailable on the Google Play Store in your region if your Google account or phone settings are not set to Canada.</p> <p> To change your region:</p> <ol> <li>Sign in to your Google account on <a href="https://pay.google.com/">https://pay.google.com/</a></li> <li>Navigate to settings from the menu options.</li> <li>Create a new profile with “Canada” as the country.</li> <li>Enter personal details and add a method of payment.</li> <li>Save the changes.</li> </ol> <p>Also, adjust the region in your phone settings to Canada.</p> <p>Once the region is set to Canada in both your Google Pay account and phone, return to the Google Play Store; the Umo app should now be accessible.</p> <h2>+ The Umo app is unavailable in my Apple App Store(iPhone).</h2> <p>The Umo app may be unavailable on the Apple App Store in your region if your Apple ID or phone settings are not set to Canada.</p> <p><em>"Before you update your location, you must spend your store credit, cancel your subscriptions, and get a payment method for your new country or region."</em></p> <p>Full steps here: <a href="https://support.apple.com/en-ca/118283">https://support.apple.com/en-ca/118283</a></p> <p>When the region is set to Canada, the Umo app should show up in the Apple App Store.</p> <h2>+ I have lost my Umo card</h2> <p>If you've already set up a Umo account, follow these steps:</p> <ol> <li>Contact the BC Transit Call Center to request freezing your lost card.</li> <li>Head to the SUS office to obtain a replacement card. Don't orget to bring your UFV student ID!</li> <li>Call the BC Transit Call Center again to arrange the transfer of funds from your lost card to the new one. They'll only need the number on the back of your new card.</li> </ol> <h2>+ What happens if I already have a BC Transit pass that I bought?</h2> <p>No worries! You can still use your Benefit Code on the Umo App. The app will make sure to use your passes first before any other funds. For example, if you have both a UPass and money loaded on your app, it will always use your UPass first.</p> <h2>+ Am I eligible for U-PASS?</h2> <p>All UFV Students and SUS Members enrolled in a course during the current semester including Part-time and Full-time students are eligible.</p> <p>Non eligible: Students who are registered but not currently taking classes. Some specific programs administered by the Faculty of Access and Continuing Education and / or the Faculty of Applied and Technical Studies where registrants pay tuition only.</p> <h2>+ Who is assessed u-pass fees?</h2> <p>All students taking classes this semester will be automatically assessed the U-PASS fee granting them access to the program.</p> <p><strong>UFV will assess a fee of $42.62 to your student account.</strong></p> <h2>+ How does the U-Pass benefit students?</h2> <p>The U-Pass program enables students to access transportation and education while increasing student wellness by gaining them free admittance into recreation facilities and providing discounts/perks that help the wallet! </p> <h2>+ How do I use my U-Pass?</h2> <p><strong>On a BC Transit Bus</strong></p> <p>Open your Umo app and present your dynamic QR code to the onboard scanner while boarding the bus.</p> <p>The QR code can be found in the “Wallet” section of your Umo account.</p> <p><strong>At the Recreation Centres (ARC, MRC, MLC)</strong></p> <p>Step 1: Go to the front desk of the recreation centre and show both your Valid UFV Student card and U-pass (from your Umo app).</p> <p>To show your U-pass, Tap "Wallet" in your Umo app, go to the "Passes" section and Select "UFV U-pass".</p> <p>Step 2: They will create a recreation centre card for you to access the facilities.</p> <p><em>Note: The card will be valid only for the period that your U-PASS is.</em></p> <p><strong>In the UFV Chilliwack Fitness Centre:</strong></p> <p>Step 1 : Visit the UFV Campus Recreation website</p> <p>Step 2: Sign up for any class you like and show your SUS U-Pass upon arrival</p> <h2>+ Can other people use my U-PASS card? **</h2> <p>No, other people cannot use your card. The services provided by the Student Union Society are personal and non-transferable, this means that your U-Pass is for your (personal) use only.</p> <p>The Student Union Society reserves the right to take disciplinary action and, if necessary, revoke access to the U-PASS program if any of its members misuses the program.</p> <h2>+ Can the U-pass include a discount for the FVX66?</h2> <p>Based on the Transportation Survey results, the FVX66 is a highly requested service. Thus, they cannot transport students to and from our campuses. </p> <h2>+ What conditions do I have to meet to opt-out of the U-pass fees?</h2> <p>There are three different eligibility requirements a student can meet to be assessed the dismissal of the U-Pass fees including: </p> <ol> <li><p>Enrolled ONLY in distance education courses, and not taking on-campus credit courses.
