This calling is part of the believer's identity in Christ, who Himself exemplified this behavior by forgiving those who crucified Him (<a href="/luke/23-34.htm">Luke 23:34</a>).<p><b>so that you may inherit a blessing</b><br />The concept of inheritance is deeply rooted in biblical theology, often associated with the promises of God to His people. The Greek word "klēronomeō" means to receive an inheritance. This promise of blessing is both present and future, encompassing the peace and joy found in living according to God's will now, and the eternal reward awaiting believers.
