At the core of it all, I love how user-friendly it is. I can quickly tap into previously saved templates to make me more efficient. There’s a pretty solid QA feature in place too, eliminating the occasional typo and wrong spelling.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> You’d have to be constantly vigilant in saving all of your documents when you work with Cerner because it does not have an auto-save feature that we have all become dependent on. Plus, somehow, the program does not allow me to edit existing outputs very easily. In particular, I find it very easy to use--with most of its commands and elements right within reach. I also love how convenient it is. If I need to retrieve data about my clients, I can easily do so without much problem. Updating data don’t take up too much time too.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I don’t think I have any major issues with Cerner. They’ve introduced more options from their drop-down caged templates now. Plus, what’s more exciting is that they now have a set combination of diagnosis-medication which I find particularly helpful.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The new Dynamic Documentation feature does not seem to recognize multiple user updates. For example, I originally gave the comments about a patient on his/her chart. If the doctor signs this off, Cerner does not save a different version with said doctor as an author. Instead, it makes it look as if I approved my own notes. The tool itself is not complicated to navigate too, plus its auto-lock feature keeps our information safe and confidential.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> There are just some aspects that Cerner fails in--innovation, being one of them. I wish that they would finally make the decision to create a version for cloud. With our work needing us to be constantly on-the-go and on-the-move, we don’t always have the luxury to sit down on our computers and access patient data. It would be best if we could just tap into an online resource to double check treatment history among other important details. Moving our data in a digital environment has been one of the best things that we’ve done--and choosing Cerner was an added bonus to this.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Admittedly, this is a pretty difficult tool to get to know. With the number of features that Cerner offers, there are a gazillion things to learn too. If this isn’t difficult enough in itself, there’s no support team to run to also. If you run into any problem, you’d have to file for a ticket so their IT team can try to help you out. Efficient because it has set templates for notes and comments that I can simply choose from a drop-down list. This saves me a lot of time from manually filling out specific sections in the chart. On particularly busy days, I can just take a quick glance at the home menu to see an overview of the data I’m dealing with. It helps with accuracy too because it marks the timeline with which I am working on.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> There’s not much room for flexibility when using Cerner. I like how each user can update their preferences based on their function within a larger scheme of their work process. With the tool customized to serve each role best, this has vastly improved the quality of our work and has made our team more efficient too. And because Cerner takes care of tracking specific work items for us, we can focus on what we like to do best: catering to our clients and making sure that their needs are met.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Sometimes Cerner works perfectly well and its features all run smoothly. At the core of it all, I love how user-friendly it is. I can quickly tap into previously saved templates to make me more efficient. There’s a pretty solid QA feature in place too, eliminating the occasional typo and wrong spelling.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> You’d have to be constantly vigilant in saving all of your documents when you work with Cerner because it does not have an auto-save feature that we have all become dependent on. Plus, somehow, the program does not allow me to edit existing outputs very easily.
