Coordinator</strong>, Monica, will happily prepare you for surgery, guiding you through the requirements, travel details, and what to expect before and after your procedure. Monica is also well versed in responding to surgery related questions, coordinating her response with Dr. Bowers if unable to answer. After completing her undergraduate degree at UC Berkeley, she worked as a Medical Assistant in an Ob/Gyn clinic and assisted world-renowned chefs in a number of Bay Area restaurants before joining our team. Our office remains one of the few and, often, only surgical offices willing and able to fully pre-authorize benefits and/or to write necessary argumentation when denials are made. She also works out of our administrative office in Trinidad with Janet. Betty advocates for our patients every day and the office would not be running smoothly without her.</p> <p>When Dr. Bowers relocated to California in 2010, the Colorado staff hoped to continue to work with Dr. Bowers but were conflicted in wishing to remain near friends and family in Colorado. Fortunately, patient communication via fax, telephone and email lent itself perfectly to continuing our Trinidad legacy with them anchoring our Colorado administrative office. Patients consistently comment upon the sincerity, calm and dedication of our loyal Colorado staff and yes! We actually answer the phone!
