This study aimed to assess the level of information and communications technology competencies of teachers in higher education, particularly in the technology operations and concepts skills. The study utilized the descriptive design which involved a questionnaire adopted from the National ICT Competency Standard for Teachers. Using the sample size estimation formula for a finite population, 104 teachers in a state university in the Philippines were considered respondents of the study. Responses from the questionnaires were directly encoded and analyzed using the Microsoft Excel application using descriptive statistics such as frequency counts, percentage, and mean. Based on the results, teachers reported a basic competency in understanding and the effective use of the internet and network applications and resources. This paper presents the landscape of ICT competency of faculty in the teacher education institutions in the central region of the Philippines. Specifically, the study investigates the ICT competency level in institutions of higher learning offering teacher education programs in the four provinces in Central Visayas, Philippines. A total of 383 survey responses was analyzed in the study. Respondents are all faculty handling any professional and/or specialization courses in the teacher education. The ICT competency level is measured empirically in terms of work aspects described in the UNESCO&#39;s ICT Competency Standards for Teachers. The instrument used in data gathering was a survey questionnaire.This study reveals that the ICT competency level of the respondents is in the knowledge deepening level. The result implies that the teacher educators are integrative, student-centered and collaborative using the necessary tools. It is concluded that there is a slight technology infusion into the teaching instruction among teacher educators in Region 7. The findings revealed that teachers and school heads demonstrated proficient competency in technology operations and concepts. However, improvement was needed in the social and ethical dim, ethical, and professional dimensions lighted the importance of targeted professional development opportunities and support to enhance competencies in these specific areas.In terms of ICT equipment, the majority of schools had access to basic equipment. Teachers and school heads encountered various challenges in ICT use, including a lack of training, limited technical support, and inadequate content and materials. The research also examined the correlation between demographic characteristics and the level of competencies. Age and years of service showed negative correlations with competency levels, suggesting that younger teachers and school heads exhibited higher levels of competence in certain domains. Educational attainment positively correlated with competency in social and ethical dimensions, pedagogical dimensions, professional dimensions, and general competence. This study aimed to assess the level of ICT competencies of selected District II public elementary school teachers in the city of General Trias. The proponent employed descriptive research design. She used a teacher-made questionnaire and administered it through online survey format. The survey contained items about the profile of the respondents and the self-assessment of the ICT competency of teachers and the assessment of grade 6 pupils of their teachers’ ICT competency. The quantitative data from the online survey were evaluated and interpreted using appropriate statistical tools. The researcher concluded that the teachers’ ICT competency based on the responses of the teachers and pupils is generally at moderate level. The result also showed that there existed significant difference between the responses of the teacher-participants and vi pupil-participants only in the use of the interactive whiteboard. The researcher highly recommends the use of the proposed ICT development program for elementary school teachers to assist them in improving their level of ICT competencies which will bring out confidence and capability to integrate technology in the teaching and learning process and to facilitate work easier, faster and better in other teaching-related tasks. A descriptive survey method was utilized having a weighted mean and standard deviation to treat the data collected. It was concluded that the teachers displayed a proficient extent of knowledge in basic ICT skills. However, some of the skills enumerated have a low mean and were close to the adjacent group scale of the lower level of knowledge.
