Or has not one God created us? Why then do we deal treacherously every man against his brother by profaning the covenant of our fathers? <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD of hosts and has loved and served foreign gods. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>The LORD will destroy the man who does this, and also his son and his son's son out of the tabernacle of Jacob; and he shall have none to present the offering to the LORD of hosts.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And this is another thing that you have done: you have covered the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with groaning, because he does not regard your offering any more or accept it with good will at your hands. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And if you say, For what reason? Because the LORD was witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>Did not he make them one? And the rest of the spirits are his also. And therefore a man seeks one offspring from God. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>For the LORD, the God of Israel, says that no one should conceal the iniquity in his robe; therefore take heed to your spirit, and do not deal treacherously.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/malachi/2-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>You have wearied the LORD with your words. And if you say, In what have we wearied him?
