La exposición está organizada a grandes rasgos en sentido histórico con una primera sección dedicada al impacto del cristianismo en la filosofía antigua; en segundo lugar, la grave situación en la modernidad y la reacción de la Iglesia Católica en el siglo XIX; para finalmente sugerir en la tercera sección algunas claves para la renovación de la filosofía cristiana en el siglo Trataremos después de JUZGAR esa realidad intentando presentar la crisis actual de la religión, contemplándola desde los nuevos abordajes a que es sometida. Desde ahí trataremos de presentar una prospectiva de futuro y de acción (ACTUAR), incluyendo una hipótesis sobre la oferta que posiblemente tendrá que hacer la religión –concretamente un nuevo cristianismo o postcristianismo-en la futura sociedad. I. VER Lo que ha ofrecido la religión tradicional La dificultad para formular lo que la religión ha ofrecido al ser humano radica en que no se trata de algo que pueda ser fácilmente objetivado, como si fuese un paquete de «bienes y servicios» cuantificables, que «están ahí fuera», como «ob-jetos» ante nosotros que se pudieran simplemente elencar. La religión no ha ofrecido servicios pequeños, concretos y bien ubicados en un determinado nivel, sino que su aportación es «transversal» al ser humano. La religión transciende todas las dimensiones del ser humano, y –podemos decir-es omnipresente en todo su ser y obrar. La religión y sus aportaciones al ser humano no se pueden delimitar, porque quizá de ninguna otra realidad se pueda decir con tanta verdad que es coextensa con el ser humano. La arqueología y la paleontología actual tienen datados los últimos 70.000 años 1 como tiempo en el que el ser humano ha ofrecido señales claras de una vivencia y un desarrollo espiritual. Pero aquí nos queremos referir a una realidad espiritual más concreta: a la forma que la espiritualidad humana ha adoptado en los últimos 4000 ó 5000 años, , cuando con el avance del neolítico y de la revolución agraria, el ser humano se sedentariza y se forman las primeras ciudades, y, enseguida, los primeros imperios. Es en esa etapa histórica cuando aparecen también las «grandes religiones mundiales», las mismas que todavía hoy cubren la mayor parte del planeta. Antes había espiritualidad, pero no religiones. «Religión», en este sentido, es una forma nueva que la espiritualidad humana adopta en estos últimos 5.000 años, a partir precisamente de la sociedad agraria. Una de esas «grandes religiones» es el cristianismo. Vamos a prescindir del hecho de que Jesús no fue precisamente un fundador de religiones, sino un personaje que pasó un mensaje claramente crítico y superador de la religión tradicional. El caso es que, históricamente, el cristianismo vino a ser finalmente una verdadera religión, incluso asumió expresamente el papel de la «religión de Estado», religión oficial del imperio romano. De hecho el cristianismo ha fungido como una religión, y no «como una más», sino como una de las más expansivas y beligerantes. Partiendo desde el caso mexicano, y su relación con Estados Unidos, máximo representante de la ontología actual—el neoliberalismo—, se propone retomar los fundamentos de la filosofía de la liberación, según la planteó Enrique Dussel en su obra homónima, como la base para subvertir la cosmogonía dominadora imperante en México. Palabras clave: filosofía de lo mexicano, liberación, neoliberalismo, enajenación irreflexiva. Abstract: This essay advances an argument for the development of a philosophical discourse at the national level as a paramount tool for guaranteeing the absolute freedom for the communities that coexist within the Mexican geographical landscape. Departing from the international relationship between Mexico and the United States—the latter a country which epitomizes the dominant ontology of neoliberalism—we reaffirm the foundations of Enrique Dussel’s philosophy of liberation, as a key step toward subverting the prevailing cosmogony in Mexico.
