Why have I seen every man place his hands on his sides like a woman in labor, and all faces were turned to a fever?<p> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>Woe, for great is that day, and there is none like it, and it is a time of distress for Yaqob, and he shall be redeemed from it!<p> <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And it will be in that day, says LORD JEHOVAH of hosts, I shall break his yoke from your neck, and your collars I shall cut off, and foreigners shall not subject them again <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>But they shall serve LORD JEHOVAH their God, and David their King, whom I shall raise up for them<p> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And you, my Servant Yaqob, shall not fear, says LORD JEHOVAH, and you shall not be broken, oh, Israel! Behold, I save you from far off, and your seed from the land of their captivity, and Yaqob shall dwell and will be quiet, and he shall rest and he shall be refreshed, and it shall not be harmful to him<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>And you shall not be afraid, my Servant Yaqob, says LORD JEHOVAH, because I am with you to save you, says LORD JEHOVAH, because I shall make an end to all the nations where I scattered you, and of you I shall not make an end, and I shall discipline you in judgment, and I shall surely not declare you innocent!<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>Because, thus says LORD JEHOVAH: ‘Painful is your wound, and severe is your disease<p> <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And there is none who judges your case who will help you and will heal you<p> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>All your friends have disregarded you, and they seek your life, because the slaughter of an enemy struck you, and mighty chastisement, because your crimes have increased, and your sins have grown strong that you would not return home<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jeremiah/30-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>Why have you wailed for your wound?
