so his wrath against Job kindled, because he justified himself more than God. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>His wrath also kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer to Job so that they might condemn him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>Now Elihu had waited to correct Job with words, because the other men were older than he. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>When Elihu saw that these three were unable to answer Job, then he was incensed.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said, Because I am younger than you in days and you are old, therefore I was afraid, and did not dare to show you my knowledge.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>For I said, Days should speak, and the multitude of years should teach wisdom.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>Truly, there is a spirit in men; and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>It is not age that makes men wise; nor do the aged always understand judgment.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>Therefore I say, Hearken to me; I also will show you my knowledge.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>Behold, I kept silent while you spoke; I gave ear until you made an end of speaking, while you searched for words.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>Yea, I understood your testimony, and, behold, there was none of you that could reprove Job, or that could answer his words,<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>So that you could not say, We have found wisdom. God has smitten him, not man.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>Now Job has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>They were silent, they answered him no more; their words were all spent, so they held their peace;<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>They did not speak; they stood still, and answered him no more.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>I will answer also on my part; I also will show my knowledge.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>For I am full of words; the spirit within me constrains me.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>Behold, I cannot restrain myself, nor can I find relief; I can no longer hold myself from talking.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>I will speak so that I may find relief; I will open my lips and answer.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>I will not be partial toward any person, neither will I be ashamed of the presence of any one.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/job/32-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>For I do not know what shame is; else would my Almighty One soon take me away.<p><br /></div></div><div id="botbox"><div class="padbot"><div align="center">Holy Bible From The Ancient Eastern Texts: Aramaic Of The Peshitta by George M.
