LIBROS has been using WMS for the past 10 years.</p> <p>LIBROS, managed by the University of New Mexico, includes 17 university, research, and special libraries that share WMS as their library services platform. With a focus on collaborative services and optimizing resources, member libraries hold 47 million items in their collections and serve tens of thousands of patrons every year.</p> <p>LIBROS needed a platform that could continue to serve all its libraries, from the University of New Mexico's large research libraries to mid-sized regional universities, and small museum libraries. After 10 successful years using WMS, the consortium was required to solicit new proposals for a library services platform and thoroughly evaluate the options, including WMS.</p> <p>"We have enjoyed success using WMS for more than 10 years," said Sever Bordeianu, LIBROS Director. "Beyond the requirement that we seek new proposals, it was important to seriously evaluate what other vendors offered and get a fresh look at WMS.
