They track, process, reconcile and report thousands of transactions (including hundreds of weekly paycheques) using unique film-industry processes.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="2" name="group[19440][2]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-1"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-1">Art</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Art</h5> <p><p>The Art Department brings a project’s creative vision to life. This includes compiling rough sketches, drafting technical drawings, and creating 3-D models, as well as storyboarding sequences.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="4" name="group[19440][4]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-2"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-2">Construction</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Construction</h5> <p><p>The Construction Department turns art into reality. This involves creating new structures from wood and steel, or modifying existing facilities.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="8" name="group[19440][8]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-3"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-3">Costume</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Costumes</h5> <p><p>The Costume Department realizes the Costume Designer’s vision on camera. The department designs, creates, acquires, maintains and catalogues all costumes worn by performers. It is also in charge of dressing actors and background performers, and maintains continuity between scenes.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="16" name="group[19440][16]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-4"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-4">Editing</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Editing</h5> <p><p>Piecing together video, dialogue, music and sound as well as integrating visual effects, the Editing Department brings the final story together in a coherent narrative that fulfills the director’s vision.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="32" name="group[19440][32]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-5"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-5">First Aid/Craft Services</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>First Aid Craft Service</h5> <p><p>The FA/CS is primarily responsible for attending to First Aid on and off set. This department also files safety incident reports, and maintains first aid facilities. They ensure that the crew is well hydrated and has access to snacks between meals.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="64" name="group[19440][64]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-6"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-6">Greens</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Greens</h5> <p><p>The Greens Department obtains and takes care of anything “green,” natural or artificial, used in a production. This includes plants, grass, trees, flowers and other landscaping materials like rocks, gravel and sand.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="128" name="group[19440][128]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-7"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-7">Grip</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Grips</h5> <p><p>Grips move the camera via dollies, jibs or cranes. Working closely with the Lighting Department, they rig and hang lighting instruments, as well as shape and control the light output.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="256" name="group[19440][256]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-8"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-8">Hair</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Hair</h5> <p><p>The design and maintenance of all hairstyles is the responsibility of this department. They cut, style and colour performers’ hair, create wigs and hair pieces, and ensure continuity from shot to shot.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="512" name="group[19440][512]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-9"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-9">Lighting</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Lighting</h5> <p><p>The Lighting crew hang and power lighting instruments as well as control their output. This department also provides and maintains electrical safety, and works closely with the Grips.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="1024" name="group[19440][1024]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-10"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-10">Make-up</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Make-up</h5> <p><p>This department designs all facial and body make-up. Special Makeup Effects Artists design and implement prosthetic appliances used to enhance or distort the reality of standard makeup.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="2048" name="group[19440][2048]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-11"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-11">Paint</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Paint</h5> <p><p>Painters complete the visual look of the physical production, often creating faux finishes, depth and illusion to the images on screen.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="4096" name="group[19440][4096]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-12"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-12">Production Office</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Production Office</h5> <p><p>The Production Office works closely with producers and production managers to ensure that a show runs smoothly. It also oversees all finishing of sets and locations, including placing set dressings and décor, and maintaining inventory.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="65536" name="group[19440][65536]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-16"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-16">Sound</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Sound</h5> <p><p>This department captures audio and dialogue on a film set. In order to achieve a clean sound, the department uses multiple devices such as boom microphones, wireless microphones and physical planted microphones.</p></p> </div> </li> <li class="department"> <input type="checkbox" value="131072" name="group[19440][131072]" id="mce-group[19440]-19440-17"><label class="department-name" for="mce-group[19440]-19440-17">Special Effects</label> <div class="tooltip"> <h5>Special Effects</h5> <p><p>Special Effects crew members design and engineer complex optical and mechanical effects that are performed during live-action shooting.
