the defilement of a son of man is evil.<p> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>Affliction will drive the evil in the day of distress.<p> <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>Deliver those that are being led to death and do not spare to save those that are being held to kill.<p> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>And if you say, "I did not know it”, know that God examines the thought of the heart, and he who keeps your soul knows, and rewards a son of man according to his works.<p> <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>Eat honey, my son, because it is good, and honeycomb is sweet to your palate.<p> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>So also you will find wisdom to your soul, and it will be the end to you, and your hope will not be cut off.<p> <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>Do not plot evil in the dwelling of the righteous and do not plunder the place of his dwelling.<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>Because the righteous falls seven times, and he rises, and the wicked is overthrown by evil.<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>When your enemy has fallen, do not rejoice, and when he is overthrown, let not your heart leap for joy.<p> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>Lest LORD JEHOVAH see, and it is evil in his eyes, and he turn his wrath from him.<p> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>Do not emulate evil ones and do not envy the evil.<p> <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>Because there is no posterity to the evil ones and the lamp of the evil will be extinguished.<p> <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>Stand in awe, my son, of LORD JEHOVAH, and give counsel, and do not mingle with fools.<p> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>Their shipwreck comes suddenly, and who knows the end of their years?<p> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>I say these things to the wise; to accept persons in judgment is not good<p> <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/proverbs/24-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>Neither to say to the evil, "You are righteous";
