Analyser les cons茅quences sur l&#39;objet observ茅 d&#39;un changement de position de l&#39;observateur. Tel 茅tait l&#39;ambition des dix anthropologues r茅unis pour r茅aliser cet ouvrage, fruit d&#39;une collaboration in茅dite conduite pendant plusieurs ann茅es. Cinq Am茅ricains travaillant en France et cinq de leurs homologues fran莽ais engag茅s de m锚me aux 脡tats-Unis se sont ainsi rencontr茅s r茅guli猫rement, 茅changeant leurs points de vue et les questionnant, afin de laisser 茅merger de nouvelles perceptions. Il en r茅sulte des visions profond茅ment originales et d茅cal茅es qui informent les questions suivantes : comment se vivent les in茅galit茅s, la pauvret茅 ou la diff茅颅rence dans l&#39;un et l&#39;autre pays ? Comment la culture est-elle source d&#39;identit茅, mais aussi de profit 茅conomique et de hi茅rarchie sociale ? Comment nommer et d茅finir les nouveaux acteurs sociaux ? Comment r茅parer les injustices et les blessures collectives ? Comment imagine-t-on de vivre mieux ? Autant de cas de figure qui sont abord茅s en parall猫le, ici et l脿. Mais l&#39;enjeu 茅tait aussi de construire des grilles d&#39;analyse applicables 脿 d&#39;autres pays que les 脡tats-Unis et la France, d&#39;autres dialogues transnationaux, d&#39;autres h茅misph猫res de r茅flexion. En allant vers une anthropologie r茅ciproque, cet ouvrage r茅ussit 脿 int茅grer 脿 la perspective comparative traditionnelle une pratique dialogique, d茅centrant tout 脿 la fois les observateurs et leurs objets.
