receive her for Christ's sake, <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-2.htm"><b>2</b></a></span>as becometh christians, and assist her in every thing her business requires: for she hath assisted many besides my self.<p> <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-3.htm"><b>3</b></a></span>salute Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow-labourers in the gospel of Christ Jesus: <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>who have for my life readily exposed their own: to whom not only I, but all the churches of the Gentiles too give thanks. <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>salute the church that is in their house, salute my dear Epenetus, who is the first christian convert of Asia. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>salute Mary, who spared no trouble upon our account. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>salute Andronicus and Junias my relations, and fellow-prisoners, who are distinguish'd among the apostles, <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>and were christians before me, salute Amplias, whom <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>I value as a good christian, salute Urbane my assistant in the cause of Christ, <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and my dear Stachys, salute Apelles, an approved christian, salute the family of Aristobulus. <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>salute Herodion my kinsman, salute the family of Narcissus, who have embraced the gospel. <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>salute Tryphena and Tryphosa, who labour for the Lord, salute my dear Persis, who laboured much in the gospel. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>salute Rufus chosen by the Lord, and his mother and mine. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren who are with them. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>salute Philologus, Julia, Nereas, his sister, Olympas, and all the converts who are with them. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>salute one anther with an holy kiss, all the churches of Christ here, salute you.<p> <A name="18"></a><p class="hdg">Avoid Divisions<br /><span class="cross">(<a href ="../titus/3.htm#9">Titus 3:9–11</a>)</span><p><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>Now I beseech you, brethren, mark those who cause divisions and revolts against the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them. <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>for such as these serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own selfishness; and by flourish and flattery, deceive the open-hearted simple. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>your christianity is very well known in the world. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you as expert in that which is good, as unpractis'd in what is evil. <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/romans/16-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>the God of peace will soon bruise Satan under your feet, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
