<p>ביום כיפור לפי המסורת היהודית נחתם גורלם של שני האדם, אנו מתפללים להירשם בספר החיים, ומודעים יותר מתמיד לשברירותם של החיים ושאנו כענן כלה, וכציץ חולץ, משולים כחרס הנשבר. לכן אין זה מפליא שאנו נוהגים גם להתפלל על נשמות המתים אחרי קריאת התורה לפני מוסף או במהלך תפילת המנחה לפני נעילה . נהוג להזכיר נשמת אב ואם, אח ואחות, אשה ובנים שמתו, ונשמות הקרובים.<br><br>בקהילות התנועה הרפורמית מתפללים גם עבור חללי צה"ל ונספים נוספים. התפילה המיוחדת כוללת: "יזכור"," אל מלא רחמים" וכמובן "קדיש". בחלק מן הקהילות נוהגים לצאת אלה שיש להם אב ואם בחיים. התפילה החותמת היא תפילת הקדיש הנאמרת בשפה הארמית ובנוכחות של מנין אנשים בוגרים (מעל גיל מצוות). בקהילות היהדות המתקדמת סופרים גברים ונשים למניין, ומובן כי גם נשים מוזמנות לומר את הקדיש לזכר יקיריהן.</p> <p></p> <div class="wp-block-buttons
