This abundance of information, however, is not always equivalent to, or combined with, an abundance of knowledge. Another characteristic of the digital space is its disruption of the boundaries between the real and digital worlds, resulting in the simultaneous existence and activity of a person in both worlds. A third characteristic is also the access to personal data and information to an unlimited number of people it provides, as well as the constant changes present in the digital space as a consequence of rapid technological changes. As for the factors that affect the process of a person\u0026amp;#39;s self-determination and self-expression in the digital space, we can also mention the following: the need to belong to a social The emergence of new technologies and the acceleration of the pace of life significantly contributes to the construction of identities in digital space, based on a number of influences, such as: the possibility of a &#39;second life&#39; , i.e. different presentation of oneself (of life) at the virtual level, an increase of social desirability, changing the perception of oneself and access to new acquaintances and experiences, and knowledge and information and selection of personal data. Digital identity opens the possibility of abuse and consequences. These include the circumstances of insufficient protection of privacy, discovery and illegal use of permanently memorized data in meta-media society and digital space, especially on social networks, and the possibility of manipulating and controlling the identity of another as well as the possibility of placement multiple identities, which brings questions the legitimacy of data. Throughout history, Gypsies, who were seen as &#39;&#39;the different&quot; have established tight connections with the countries and became component of the country they lived. Gypsy identity and advocacy use and focus on internet as a community platform. They express themselves comfortably and more people understand, share their problems. One of their web addresses is cingeneyiz. org (We are Gypsies. org), in which they say their first aim is to solve the problem of incomprehension between Gypsies and people living together with them. First part of this study analyses communication and self-expression of Gypsies through new technologies by giving cingeneyiz.org example, how they get in touch and organize, and the importance of hypertext, the links and e-mails are analyzed. The perception of the Facebook by youth and their aim in using facebook is evaluated. The conceptual framework of the study is founded upon Goffman&#39;s dramaturgy theory and the concept of impression management. Beside the researches investigating new media, social networks and youth, this research is expected to give an idea how young people use social network sites and how that affects their identity construction. In this paper, I will analyse these transformations in relation to a specific phenomenon of digital technology which falls within the range of practices of the quantified self, namely the phenomenon of lifelogging. The phenomenon will be analysed on three levels: 1) Processes of subjectification. Why are such data collected? The purpose of lifelogging is no longer &quot;self-knowledge&quot; – as in the modern and contemporary philosophical and cultural tradition – but rather self-motivation and self-optimisation. In terms of processes of subjectification, these practices may be understood as digital technologies of the self, to quote Michel Foucault, which is to say as modes of controlling and transforming one’s self by acting upon one’s body. 2) Social recognition. The data collected are also shared on social media platforms in order to receive comments and feedback through which to reinforce the construction of self. Can we describe this virtual community as a digital form of social belonging? And what are the implications of this for traditional forms of social recognition? 3) Business. The phenomenon of lifelogging includes not just lifeloggers but also the developers of lifelogging apps, devices, and software. Lifelogs (i.e. databases about individual physical performances) are widespread in many fields, such as those of fitness, healthcare, and education. Using the process of creating a constructed identity on a social media platform, the paper combines Jacques Lacan, Carl Rogers and Karen Horney in explaining psycho-socially how and why people create an imaginative version of themselves online. The main claim the article makes is that as a result of the communication between the Self and its audience (the Other (s) in the digital), personal values about self-worth change. As a result, self-identification with the consuming audience leads to self-actualizing and glorifying. This sets up the process of creating an Ideal Image based on chosen and hidden content. The work is inspired by several events: the rapid upload of chosen images about personal events on Facebook; the development of narrations through personal profiles; the life in the digital reality and quick popularity that so- called coaches, therapists and etc. start to gain through claiming what to be in the virtual world.
