Study population was 899 staff, 356 of them were academic staff and 543 were administrative staff. A total of 282 participants completed an online survey that included demographic characteristics of the participants and the 7-item Generalized Anxiety Disorder Scale. Findings from this study revealed that a large number of participants (68.8%) got in direct contact with infected people with COVID-19. Anxiety levels varied amount participants as 41.5% of them experienced mild level of anxiety, 15.6% moderate and 1.8% severe levels of anxiety while 36.2% did not manifest anxiety. Factors that have negative correlation with level of anxiety were age and years of experience (P= 0.01). While factors that have statistically significant differences with the total score included: sex (p = 0.035), having been infected with Corona virus (p = 0.033), having a family member infected with Coronal virus (p = 0.008) and if a friend or a relative died with COVID-19 (p = 0.011). Main recommendation of this study is to reduce psychological effects of COVID-19 pandemic and to enhance the resilience and coping strategies of the universities\u0026amp;#39; staff and students as However, this psychological impact can be minimized or even avoided through mental health and psychiatric care. Recently, research on the mental health of the general population and college students is at the core. However, this review aims to highlight this process, as it supports the development of public actions and policies aimed at communities and health teams. In this context, the objective of this study was to compile the literature on mental illness and psychological stress of students during the Covid-19 pandemic, to elucidate risk factors and possible interventions. Regarding the estimated prevalence of DAS was 76.1%, 71.5% and 70.1% with at least mild symptoms, 62.9%, 63.6% and 58.6% with at least moderate symptoms and 35, 2%, 40.3% and 37.7% with at least severe symptoms, respectively, 19.7%, 27.5% and 16.5% had at least severe symptoms, respectively. The results showed that all the studies selected from the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the analysis of psychological stress factors in health influence the anxiety in students, mainly in nursing and medicine college students, being significant and having an R of Pearson a very strong positive relationship related to anxiety and depression. This review corroborates that there is a high risk in relationships between mental health problems and factors related to COVID-19. We used an online questionnaire to investigate this phenomenon among students of Batna and Oum el Bouaghi universities. The significance of the study is shedding light on anxiety and finding potential solutions for it. We found that students suffer from anxiety mainly due to these factors: students’ uncertainty about their future study and career, social distancing, the economic state, and the fear of catching corona virus. Furthermore, we reached promising solutions that both the government and individuals can apply. The purpose of the literature review was to consolidate evidence for the prevalence of anxiety among students of higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic and to underscore the effect of various pandemic-related factors on this anxiety. Methods A comprehensive literature search was conducted utilizing various databases such as MEDLINE, PsycInfo Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Embase to identify relevant studies. To be incorporated in this review, studies had to include students of higher education, measure the prevalence of anxiety, and assess anxiety during Covid-19 pandemic. Results 37 studies met the inclusion criteria and assessed the prevalence of anxiety among students during confinement. Studies showed that more than one-third of the students suffered from anxiety during the early stages of the pandemic. Moreover, being a female, living in rural areas, facing financial hardship, working full-time, spending the quarantine in isolation, worrying about infection for themselves and others, having the uncertainty of the future, having reduced sleep quality, and transitioning to online learning, were factors associated with increased anxiety during the pandemic. Conclusion Anxiety was shown to be highly prevalent among the student population during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims at investigating anxiety among students of different universities in three regions in Egypt 1-Cairo (the capital).2-Tanta (Lower Egypt, in the river Nile delta). 3-Asyut (Upper Egypt, in the river Nile delta). The sample of the study (n= 604) participated 6 weeks after the suspension of on campus classes of the new spring semester during the outbreak of Covid-19. Another purpose is to find out the relationship between anxiety symptoms with some demographical variables such as gender, age, level of study, field of study and having been infected or not by coronavirus. Data was collected using the Corona Disease Anxiety Scale (CDAS), administered online to assess the anxiety level. A web-based self-administered survey was used to assess probable anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and coping strategies by using the Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7), Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), Impact of Event Scale-Revised (IES-R), and Brief-COPE scale, respectively. Of 502 participants (mean age 36.04 ± 10.32 years, male: 66.3%), 24.1% (GAD-7 ≥ 10) had probable anxiety.
