class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> With the improvement of the performance and complexity of modern equipment, automatic test system (ATS) becomes widely used for condition monitoring and fault diagnosis. However, the conventional ATS mainly works in a serial mode, and lacks the ability of testing several equipments at the same time. That leads to low test efficiency and ATS redundancy. Especially for a large majority of equipment under test, the conventional ATS cannot meet the requirement of efficient testing. To reduce the support resource and increase test efficiency, we propose a method of design for the parallel test based on the embedded system in this paper. Firstly, we put forward the general framework of the parallel test system, and the system contains a central management system (CMS) and several distributed test subsystems (DTS). Then we give a detailed design of the system. For the hardware of the system, we use embedded architecture to design DTS. For the software of the system, we use test program set to improve the test adaption. By deploying the parallel test system, the time to test five devices is now equal to the time to test one device in the past. Compared with the conventional test system, the proposed test system reduces the size and improves testing efficiency. This is of great significance for equipment to be put into operation swiftly. Finally, we take an industrial control system as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The result shows that the method is reasonable, and the efficiency is improved up to 500%. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=parallel%20test" title="parallel test">parallel test</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=embedded%20system" title=" embedded system"> embedded system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20test%20system" title=" automatic test system"> automatic test system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20test%20system%20%28ATS%29" title=" automatic test system (ATS)"> automatic test system (ATS)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=central%20management%20system" title=" central management system"> central management system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=central%20management%20system%20%28CMS%29" title=" central management system (CMS)"> central management system (CMS)</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=distributed%20test%20subsystems" title=" distributed test subsystems"> distributed test subsystems</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=distributed%20test%20subsystems%20%28DTS%29" title=" distributed test subsystems (DTS)"> distributed test subsystems (DTS)</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/99560/a-study-on-design-for-parallel-test-based-on-embedded-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/99560.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">305</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25565</span> Hardware-in-the-Loop Test for Automatic Voltage Regulator of Synchronous Condenser</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ha%20Thi%20Nguyen">Ha Thi Nguyen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Guangya%20Yang"> Guangya Yang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Arne%20Hejde%20Nielsen"> Arne Hejde Nielsen</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Peter%20H%C3%B8jgaard%20Jensen"> Peter Højgaard Jensen</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Automatic voltage regulator (AVR) plays an important role in volt/var control of synchronous condenser (SC) in power systems. Test AVR performance in steady-state and dynamic conditions in real grid is expensive, low efficiency, and hard to achieve. To address this issue, we implement hardware-in-the-loop (HiL) test for the AVR of SC to test the steady-state and dynamic performances of AVR in different operating conditions. Startup procedure of the system and voltage set point changes are studied to evaluate the AVR hardware response. Overexcitation, underexcitation, and AVR set point loss are tested to compare the performance of SC with the AVR hardware and that of simulation. The comparative results demonstrate how AVR will work in a real system. The results show HiL test is an effective approach for testing devices before deployment and is able to parameterize the controller with lower cost, higher efficiency, and more flexibility. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20voltage%20regulator" title="automatic voltage regulator">automatic voltage regulator</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=hardware-in-the-loop" title=" hardware-in-the-loop"> hardware-in-the-loop</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=synchronous%20condenser" title=" synchronous condenser"> synchronous condenser</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=real%20time%20digital%20simulator" title=" real time digital simulator"> real time digital simulator</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77340/hardware-in-the-loop-test-for-automatic-voltage-regulator-of-synchronous-condenser" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/77340.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">251</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25564</span> Personal Information Classification Based on Deep Learning in Automatic Form Filling System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Shunzuo%20Wu">Shunzuo Wu</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Xudong%20Luo"> Xudong Luo</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Yuanxiu%20Liao"> Yuanxiu Liao</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Recently, the rapid development of deep learning makes artificial intelligence (AI) penetrate into many fields, replacing manual work there. In these days, IaaS services have been spread and many users can customize virtual machines on IaaS Cloud like their own private servers. Regarding to software patches of OS or middleware installed on virtual machines, users need to adopt and verify these patches by themselves. This task increases operation costs of users. Our proposed method replicates user virtual environments, extracts verification test cases for user virtual environments from test case DB, distributes patches to virtual machines on replicated environments and conducts those test cases automatically on replicated environments. We have implemented the proposed method on OpenStack using Jenkins and confirmed the feasibility. Using the implementation, we confirmed the effectiveness of test case creation efforts by our proposed idea of 2-tier abstraction of software functions and test cases. We also evaluated the automatic verification performance of environment replications, test cases extractions and test cases conductions. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=OpenStack" title="OpenStack">OpenStack</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=cloud%20computing" title=" cloud computing"> cloud computing</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20verification" title=" automatic verification"> automatic verification</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=jenkins" title=" jenkins"> jenkins</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17257/automatic-verification-technology-of-virtual-machine-software-patch-on-iaas-cloud" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/17257.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">489</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25562</span> Drugstore Control System Design and Realization Based on Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Muhammad%20Faheem%20Khakhi">Muhammad Faheem Khakhi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jian%20Yu%20Wang"> Jian Yu Wang</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Salman%20Muhammad"> Salman Muhammad</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Muhammad%20Faisal%20Shabir"> Muhammad Faisal Shabir</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Population growth and Chinese two-child policy will boost pharmaceutical market, and it will continue to maintain the growth for a period of time in the future, the traditional pharmacy dispensary has been unable to meet the growing medical needs of the peoples. The simulation result demonstrates that the open type requires less time to extinguish the fire than the enclosed wet type if the horizontal distance between the sprinkler and the scooter ignition source is short, the sprinkler can act quickly, the heat release rate of fire can be suppressed in advance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20sprinkler%20system" title="automatic sprinkler system">automatic sprinkler system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=underground%20parking%20Spac" title=" underground parking Spac"> underground parking Spac</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=FDS" title=" FDS"> FDS</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=scooter%20fire%20extinguishing" title=" scooter fire extinguishing"> scooter fire extinguishing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120646/analysis-of-the-effect-about-different-automatic-sprinkler-system-extinguishing-the-scooter-fire-in-underground-parking-space" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/120646.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">142</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25558</span> Intelligent Software Architecture and Automatic Re-Architecting Based on Machine Learning</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Gebremeskel%20Hagos%20Gebremedhin">Gebremeskel Hagos Gebremedhin</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Feng%20Chong"> Feng Chong</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Heyan%20Huang"> Heyan Huang</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Software system is the combination of architecture and organized components to accomplish a specific function or set of functions. A good software architecture facilitates application system development, promotes achievement of functional requirements, and supports system reconfiguration. We describe three studies demonstrating the utility of our architecture in the subdomain of mobile office robots and identify software engineering principles embodied in the architecture. The main aim of this paper is to analyze prove architecture design and automatic re-architecting using machine learning. Intelligence software architecture and automatic re-architecting process is reorganizing in to more suitable one of the software organizational structure system using the user access dataset for creating relationship among the components of the system. The 3-step approach of data mining was used to analyze effective recovery, transformation and implantation with the use of clustering algorithm. Therefore, automatic re-architecting without changing the source code is possible to solve the software complexity problem and system software reuse. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=intelligence" title="intelligence">intelligence</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20architecture" title=" software architecture"> software architecture</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=re-architecting" title=" re-architecting"> re-architecting</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=software%20reuse" title=" software reuse"> software reuse</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=High%20level%20design" title=" High level design"> High level design</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159825/intelligent-software-architecture-and-automatic-re-architecting-based-on-machine-learning" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/159825.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">119</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25557</span> Practical Approach to Development Automated System of Record Research Results Architectural Cultural Heritage Objects Island-Town Sviyazhsk</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Timur%20R.%20Azizov">Timur R. With increasing automatic loom speeds, the dynamic loads on their separate mechanisms and moving joints sharply increase. Dynamic research allows us to determine the weakest mechanisms of the automatic loom. The modern automatic loom consists of a large number of structurally different mechanisms. These are cam, lever, gear, friction and combined cyclic mechanisms. The modern automatic loom contains various mechatronic devices: A device for the automatic removal of faulty weft, electromechanical drive warp yarns, electronic controllers, servos, etc. In the paper, we consider the multibody dynamic model of the automatic loom on the software complex SimulationX. SimulationX is multidisciplinary software for modeling complex physical and technical facilities and systems. The multibody dynamic model of the automatic loom allows consideration of: The transition processes, backlash at the joints and nodes, the force of resistance and electric motor performance. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20loom" title="automatic loom">automatic loom</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=dynamics" title=" dynamics"> dynamics</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=model" title=" model"> model</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=multibody" title=" multibody"> multibody</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=SimulationX" title=" SimulationX"> SimulationX</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59167/dynamic-model-of-automatic-loom-on-simulationx" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/59167.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">348</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25555</span> Design of an Augmented Automatic Choosing Control with Constrained Input by Lyapunov Functions Using Gradient Optimization Automatic Choosing Functions</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Toshinori%20Nawata">Toshinori Nawata</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In this paper a nonlinear feedback control called augmented automatic choosing control (AACC) for a class of nonlinear systems with constrained input is presented. The Internet of Things (IoT) system will be used to regulate the bell by testing each of the three beatings with a wooden head. A stone-beating head and a steel beater. The sound resonates nicely, with the distance and rhythm of the hit contributing to this. An ESP8266 microcontroller is used by the control system to manage its operations and will communicate with the pneumatic system to convey a signal. After radionuclides were leached from the radioactive waste samples with concentrated HCl and HNO₃, the sample was allowed to evaporate to dryness after filtering the leaching solution with 0.45 micron filter. The Pu isotopes were separated in HNO₃ medium with anion exchange resin. For leaching solution passed through the anion exchange column, the Am isotopes were sequentially separated with TRU resin. Automatic sequential extraction device built-in software information of separation for Pu and Am isotopes was developed. The purified Pu and Am isotopes were measured by alpha spectrometer, respectively, after the micro-precipitation of neodymium. The system detects the LPG gas leak using Nano-sensors and alerts the concerned individual through GSM system. The system uses two sensors, one attached to the chimney and other to the regulator of the LPG cylinder. Upon a leakage being detected, the sensor at the regulator actuates the system to cut off the gas supply immediately using a solenoid control valve. The sensor at the chimney checks for the permissible level of LPG mix in the air and when the level exceeds the threshold, the system sends an automatic SMS to the numbers saved. Further the sensor actuates the mini suction system fixed at the chimney within 20 seconds of a leakage to suck out the gas until the level falls well below the threshold. As a safety measure, an automatic window opening and alarm feature is also incorporated into the system. The key feature of this design is that the system is provided with a special inverter designed to make the device function effectively even during power failures. In this paper, utilization of sensors in the kitchen area is discussed and this gives the proposed architecture for real time field monitoring with a PIC Micro-controller. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=nano%20sensors" title="nano sensors">nano sensors</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=global%20system%20for%20mobile%20communication" title=" global system for mobile communication"> global system for mobile communication</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=GSM" title=" GSM"> GSM</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=micro%20controller" title=" micro controller"> micro controller</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=inverter" title=" inverter"> inverter</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33392/automatic-integrated-inverter-type-smart-device-for-safe-kitchen" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/33392.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">473</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25550</span> 3D Plant Growth Measurement System Using Deep Learning Technology</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kazuaki%20Shiraishi">Kazuaki Shiraishi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Narumitsu%20Asai"> Narumitsu Asai</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tsukasa%20Kitahara"> Tsukasa Kitahara</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Sosuke%20Mieno"> Sosuke Mieno</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Takaharu%20Kameoka"> Takaharu Kameoka</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The purpose of this research is to facilitate productivity advances in agriculture. To accomplish this, we developed an automatic three-dimensional (3D) recording system for growth of field crops that consists of a number of inexpensive modules: a very low-cost stereo camera, a couple of ZigBee wireless modules, a Raspberry Pi single-board computer, and a third generation (3G) wireless communication module. Our system uses an inexpensive Web stereo camera in order to keep total costs low. However, inexpensive video cameras record low-resolution images that are very noisy. Accordingly, in order to resolve these problems, we adopted a deep learning method. Based on the results of extended period of time operation test conducted without the use of an external power supply, we found that by using Super-Resolution Convolutional Neural Network method, our system could achieve a balance between the competing goals of low-cost and superior performance. Our experimental results showed the effectiveness of our system. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=3D%20plant%20data" title="3D plant data">3D plant data</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20recording" title=" automatic recording"> automatic recording</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=stereo%20camera" title=" stereo camera"> stereo camera</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=deep%20learning" title=" deep learning"> deep learning</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=image%20processing" title=" image processing"> image processing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54418/3d-plant-growth-measurement-system-using-deep-learning-technology" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/54418.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">273</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25549</span> Automatic Assignment of Geminate and Epenthetic Vowel for Amharic Text-to-Speech System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tadesse%20Anberbir">Tadesse Anberbir</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Felix%20Bankole"> Felix Bankole</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Tomio%20Takara"> Tomio Takara</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Girma%20Mamo"> Girma Mamo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> In the development of a text-to-speech synthesizer, automatic derivation of correct pronunciation from the grapheme form of a text is a central problem. Particularly deriving phonological features which are not shown in orthography is challenging. In the Amharic language, geminates and epenthetic vowels are very crucial for proper pronunciation but neither is shown in orthography. In this paper, we proposed and integrated a morphological analyzer into an Amharic Text-to-Speech system, mainly to predict geminates and epenthetic vowel positions, and prepared a duration modeling method. Amharic Text-to-Speech system (AmhTTS) is a parametric and rule-based system that adopts a cepstral method and uses a source filter model for speech production and a Log Magnitude Approximation (LMA) filter as the vocal tract filter. The naturalness of the system after employing the duration modeling was evaluated by sentence listening test and we achieved an average Mean Opinion Score (MOS) 3.4 (68%) which is moderate. By modeling the duration of geminates and controlling the locations of epenthetic vowel, we are able to synthesize good quality speech. The cases where digital excitation control system is used tuning of PID controller are still carried out by pole placement method. Tuning of PID controller used for static excitation control system is not challenging because it does not involve exciter time constant. This paper discusses two methods of tuning PID controller i.e. Pole placement method and pole zero cancellation method. GUI prepared for both the methods on the platform of MATLAB. Using this GUI, performance results and time required for tuning for both the methods are compared. Our system configuration consists of an automatic extinguishing system, detectors, a wall-pad, and a microcomputer controlled micom gas meter to monitor gas flow and pressure as well as the occurrence of earthquakes. The automatic fire extinguishing system checks for both combustible gaseous leaks and monitors the environmental temperature, while the detector array measures smoke and CO gas concentrations. Depending on detected conditions, the micom gas meter cuts off an inner valve and generates a warning, the automatic fire-extinguishing system cuts off an external valve and sprays extinguishing materials, or the sensors generate signals and take further action when smoke or CO are detected. Information on intelligent measures taken by the gas safety appliances and sensors are transmitted to the wall-pad, which in turn relays this as real time data to a server that can be monitored via an external network (BcN) connection to a web or mobile application for the management of gas safety. To validate this smart-home gas management system, we field-tested its suitability for use in Korean apartments under several scenarios. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gas%20sensor" title="gas sensor">gas sensor</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=leak" title=" leak"> leak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gas%20safety" title=" gas safety"> gas safety</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gas%20meter" title=" gas meter"> gas meter</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=gas%20risk" title=" gas risk"> gas risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=wireless%20communication" title=" wireless communication "> wireless communication </a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/31021/a-smart-monitoring-system-for-preventing-gas-risks-in-indoor" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/31021.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">415</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25545</span> Development of Automatic Farm Manure Spreading Machine for Orchards</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Bar%C4%B1%C5%9F%20Ozluoymak">Barış Ozluoymak</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Emin%20Guzel"> Emin Guzel</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ahmet%20%C4%B0nce"> Ahmet İnce</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Since chemical fertilizers are used for meeting the deficiency of plant nutrients, its many harmful effects are not taken into consideration for the structure of the earth. These fertilizers are hampering the work of the organisms in the soil immediately after thrown to the ground. This interference is first started with a change of the soil pH and micro organismic balance is disrupted by reaction in the soil. Since there can be no fragmentation of plant residues, organic matter in the soil will be increasingly impoverished in the absence of micro organismic living. Biological activity reduction brings about a deterioration of the soil structure. If the chemical fertilization continues intensively, soils will get worse every year; plant growth will slow down and stop due to the intensity of chemical fertilizers, yield decline will be experienced and farmer will not receive an adequate return on his investment. In this research, a prototype of automatic farm manure spreading machine for orange orchards that not just manufactured in Turkey was designed, constructed, tested and eliminate the human drudgery involved in spreading of farm manure in the field. The machine comprised several components as a 5 m3 volume hopper, automatic controlled hydraulically driven chain conveyor device and side delivery conveyor belts. To spread the solid farm manure automatically, the machine was equipped with an electronic control system. The hopper and side delivery conveyor designs fitted between orange orchard tree row spacing. Test results showed that the control system has significant effects on reduction in the amount of unnecessary solid farm manure use and avoiding inefficient manual labor. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20control%20system" title="automatic control system">automatic control system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=conveyor%20belt%20application" title=" conveyor belt application"> conveyor belt application</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=orchard" title=" orchard"> orchard</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=solid%20farm%20manure" title=" solid farm manure"> solid farm manure</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60643/development-of-automatic-farm-manure-spreading-machine-for-orchards" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/60643.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">285</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25544</span> Climate Physical Processes Mathematical Modeling for Dome-Like Traditional Residential Building</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Artem%20Sedov">Artem Sedov</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Aigerim%20Uyzbayeva"> Aigerim Uyzbayeva</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Valeriya%20Tyo"> Valeriya Tyo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> The presented article is showing results of dynamic modeling with Mathlab software of optimal automatic room climate control system for two experimental houses in Astana, one of which has circle plan and the other one has square plan. Automatic guidance and automatic landings have proven to bring significant safety value added for this challenging landing phase. This is why Airbus and ScioTeq have decided to work together to explore the capability of image-based landing solutions as additional landing aids to further expand the possibility to perform automatic approach and landing to runways where the current guiding systems are either not fitted or not optimum. Current systems for automated landing often depend on radio signals provided by airport ground infrastructure on the airport or satellite coverage. In addition, these radio signals may not always be available with the integrity and performance required for safe automatic landing. Being independent from these radio signals would widen the operations possibilities and increase the number of automated landings. Airbus and ScioTeq are joining their expertise in the field of Computer Vision in the European Program called Clean Sky 2 Large Passenger Aircraft, in which they are leading the IMBALS (IMage BAsed Landing Solutions) project. The ultimate goal of this project is to demonstrate, develop, validate and verify a certifiable automatic landing system guiding an airplane during the approach and landing phases based on an onboard camera system capturing images, enabling automatic landing independent from radio signals and without precision instrument for landing. In the frame of this project, ScioTeq is responsible for the development of the Image Processing Platform (IPP), while Airbus is responsible for defining the functional and system requirements as well as the testing and integration of the developed equipment in a Large Passenger Aircraft representative environment. The aim of this paper will be to describe the system as well as the associated methods and tools developed for validation and verification. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aircraft%20landing%20system" title="aircraft landing system">aircraft landing system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=aircraft%20safety" title=" aircraft safety"> aircraft safety</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=autoland" title=" autoland"> autoland</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=avionic%20system" title=" avionic system"> avionic system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=computer%20vision" title=" computer vision"> computer vision</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=image%20processing" title=" image processing"> image processing</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157558/image-based-landing-solutions-for-large-passenger-aircraft" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/157558.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">101</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25542</span> Fuzzy Inference System for Determining Collision Risk of Ship in Madura Strait Using Automatic Identification System</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Emmy%20Pratiwi">Emmy Pratiwi</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Ketut%20B.%20Artana"> Ketut B. High vessel traffic density in Madura Strait gives serious threat due to navigational safety in this area, i.e. ship collision. This study is necessary as an attempt to enhance the safety of marine traffic. Fuzzy inference system (FIS) is proposed to calculate risk collision of ships. Collision risk is evaluated based on ship domain, Distance to Closest Point of Approach (DCPA), and Time to Closest Point of Approach (TCPA). Data were collected by utilizing Automatic Identification System (AIS). This study considers several ships’ domain models to give the characteristic of marine traffic in the waterways. Each encounter in the ship domain is analyzed to obtain the level of collision risk. Risk level of ships, as the result in this study, can be used as guidance to avoid the accident, providing brief description about safety traffic in Madura Strait and improving the navigational safety in the area. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=automatic%20identification%20system" title="automatic identification system">automatic identification system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=collision%20risk" title=" collision risk"> collision risk</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=DCPA" title=" DCPA"> DCPA</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=fuzzy%20inference%20system" title=" fuzzy inference system"> fuzzy inference system</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=TCPA" title=" TCPA"> TCPA</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61809/fuzzy-inference-system-for-determining-collision-risk-of-ship-in-madura-strait-using-automatic-identification-system" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/61809.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">550</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25541</span> Automatic Battery Charging for Rotor Wings Type Unmanned Aerial Vehicle</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Jeyeon%20Kim">Jeyeon Kim</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> This paper describes the development of the automatic battery charging device for the rotor wings type unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and the positioning method that can be accurately landed on the charging device when landing. Results have shown that disposition of possible landmarks is quite different from the human perception. <p class="card-text"><strong>Keywords:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=clustering" title="clustering">clustering</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=edges" title=" edges"> edges</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=feature%20points" title=" feature points"> feature points</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=landmark%20selection" title=" landmark selection"> landmark selection</a>, <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=X-means" title=" X-means"> X-means</a> </p> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/91173/automatic-landmark-selection-based-on-feature-clustering-for-visual-autonomous-unmanned-aerial-vehicle-navigation" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">Procedia</a> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/91173.pdf" target="_blank" class="btn btn-primary btn-sm">PDF</a> <span class="bg-info text-light px-1 py-1 float-right rounded"> Downloads <span class="badge badge-light">281</span> </span> </div> </div> <div class="card paper-listing mb-3 mt-3"> <h5 class="card-header" style="font-size:.9rem"><span class="badge badge-info">25537</span> Automatic Classification for the Degree of Disc Narrowing from X-Ray Images Using CNN</h5> <div class="card-body"> <p class="card-text"><strong>Authors:</strong> <a href="https://publications.waset.org/abstracts/search?q=Kwangmin%20Joo">Kwangmin Joo</a> </p> <p class="card-text"><strong>Abstract:</strong></p> Automatic detection of lumbar vertebrae and classification method is proposed for evaluating the degree of disc narrowing. Prior to classification, deep learning based segmentation is applied to detect individual lumbar vertebra. M-net is applied to segment five lumbar vertebrae and fine-tuning segmentation is employed to improve the accuracy of segmentation. Using the features extracted from previous step, clustering technique, k-means clustering, is applied to estimate the degree of disc space narrowing under four grade scoring system. As preliminary study, techniques proposed in this research could help building an automatic scoring system to diagnose the severity of disc narrowing from X-ray images. <p
