Earlier, I couldn’t keep any insights of all the triggered or event driven emails but now I can make the changes and can see now what amount of emails we have sent and how they are doing. We also get the ease and flexibility to perform things. We deal with a number of programs, segments and customization in our email systems and our aim is to provide an unbiased email experience to our users. I was able to gain the knowledge about these on my own but most people tend to take the help of the service team with extra cost.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> For new users, technology can prove out to be a little hard and for me, the first experience was a similar one as I didn’t know what to do first. But as soon as I started, the slow learning process started. We built a huge program which includes triggered or event driven emails, programs for our Business to Customer emails, FTP data uploads. We manage to use the Salesforce integration for the B2B business activities. But make sure the content is not too specialized. The folders option is a big highlight. The system has become more user-friendly compared to previous versions which were more suitable for IT experts.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The only disadvantage is you have to perform a lot of steps to send an email. I can easily upload newer image files in my portfolio through the email to marketing specialists and thus, there is no need for any other email used in between this process. The email marketing has been made easy and the product can do the marketing by itself. This product is quite adaptable and has been able to handle the data very efficiently. Also, the language used for scripting in the email is quite inventive and one can easily learn it. It is also easy to execute both kind of content, easy or complex.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The user interface is not insightful in all the cases and sometimes even the tasks that are alike are performed in a different manner in diverse parts of the application. The best thing is the excellent and detailed tracking of the sent items. The product has excellently helped me at all the times and in case I need any help, the support system has always been there. From triggered mails to the automated males, it manages everything.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The thing I didn’t like is the learning curve which is quite difficult for the fresh users. Being a professional, I have a really hectic schedule and it’s really a tough thing to understand without devoting a lot of time. I either have to call the support team, take classes or go through forums. I just wish the Best Practices were much more common and the users who are using these products could be able to spend their money on a partner who is certified or some professional services. We deal with a number of programs, segments and customization in our email systems and our aim is to provide an unbiased email experience to our users. I was able to gain the knowledge about these on my own but most people tend to take the help of the service team with extra cost.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> For new users, technology can prove out to be a little hard and for me, the first experience was a similar one as I didn’t know what to do first. But as soon as I started, the slow learning process started. We built a huge program which includes triggered or event driven emails, programs for our Business to Customer emails, FTP data uploads. We manage to use the Salesforce integration for the B2B business activities. With the help of Mobile Connect, it took nearly no time to set up the mobile campaign. The Fuel API can easily be used to trigger SMS and emails to the landing page and then gather all the data in the Exact Target itself. There are several other such platforms to but they always require the integration with a third party but this is not in the case of Exact Target which makes things much easy.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> For a part-time digital marketer, Exact Target might not prove out to be an apt system. There is a great variety of features with this system and these require more time to learn as compared to the other products of the market. I was able to learn all about the automation studio on my own which was used for sending email campaigns. Also, I was easily able to create an inclusive customer lifecycle that included more than 60 email campaigns that ran on daily basis. The product is excellent and reliable for handling automated mails efficiently.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The reporting is what I didn’t like. With a number of email campaigns running daily, it becomes really complex to maintain the reporting and this part has been disappointing in the program. Reporting by campaign is quite difficult and if this is fixed, results can be acquired in a simpler way. Earlier, I couldn’t keep any insights of all the triggered or event driven emails but now I can make the changes and can see now what amount of emails we have sent and how they are doing. We also get the ease and flexibility to perform things. We deal with a number of programs, segments and customization in our email systems and our aim is to provide an unbiased email experience to our users. I was able to gain the knowledge about these on my own but most people tend to take the help of the service team with extra cost.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> For new users, technology can prove out to be a little hard and for me, the first experience was a similar one as I didn’t know what to do first. But as soon as I started, the slow learning process started. We built a huge program which includes triggered or event driven emails, programs for our Business to Customer emails, FTP data uploads. We manage to use the Salesforce integration for the B2B business activities. I can easily upload newer image files in my portfolio through the email to marketing specialists and thus, there is no need for any other email used in between this process. The email marketing has been made easy and the product can do the marketing by itself. This product is quite adaptable and has been able to handle the data very efficiently. Also, the language used for scripting in the email is quite inventive and one can easily learn it. It is also easy to execute both kinds of content, easy or complex.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The user interface is not insightful in all the cases and sometimes even the tasks that are alike are performed in a different manner in diverse parts of the application. The support team is full of wonderful people but the process of answering the queries is a little complicated and slow. The system down has been faced a number of times and this has lead to the missing of deadlines and a lot of time has been wasted, with a number of good stories losing a chance to get marketed. The best thing is the excellent and detailed tracking of the sent items. The automation studio is designed for the organizations where the self-learning processes are greatly adopted and the tools are learned by the individuals on their own. The product has excellently helped me at all the times and in case I need any help, the support system has always been there. From triggered mails to the automated males, it manages everything.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The thing I didn’t like is the learning curve which is quite difficult for the fresh users. Being a professional, I have a really hectic schedule and it’s really a tough thing to understand without devoting a lot of time. I either have to call the support team, take classes or go through forums. I just wish the Best Practices were much more common and the users who are using these products could be able to spend their money on a partner who is certified or on some professional services. Before using Marketing Cloud we were utilizing spreadsheets for the task and it was very tedious and time-consuming. Marketing Cloud saves us plenty of time as it helps to automate campaigns based on live data in Salesforce. Plus, it offers email metrics that we can view along with dashboards, reports, and customer records. The system is a real boon for our business.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> There are no noticeable drawbacks but I wish there were additional metrics such as the browser/device/email client which a subscriber uses to open and read the email. Some of the senders have chosen the Full Service users where the ET team engages with building and deployment of the messages. Other senders are given the Self Service users who have to build their own messages which are gathered and sent by us. Both these work in a great tune as we have tried to get the most out of SalesForce Marketing Cloud and it has always given us what we desire. We have also discovered a number of ways of doing a task either good ways or bad ways. While working in continuance it is realized that some activities can be done in one way while others in the other. The flexibility and ease is a great feature. We have been using SalesForce Marketing Cloud for normal as well as triggered campaigns and also for streams and transactional campaigns. The new functions can make things easy for the new users and things are made possible when you start understanding the functionality of the tool. If the data structure is properly setup a marketer of the CRM business can run all the business activities without being dependent on the personnel of the IT. By the help of the lifecycle program, the product allows a user to build the whole journey of a customer. The tool has no limits in this concern and another plus point is the high-class customer support.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Some additional functions can be added to the reporting systems, especially in the case of summarizing the performance of some individuals as it has to be sent for a marketing campaign. We are now able to create automations which give us a number of opportunities to increase the gains and revenue.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> There is a lack of organization in the service team. The support team is full of wonderful people but the process of answering the queries is a little complicated and slow. The system down has been faced a number of times and this has lead to the missing of deadlines and a lot of time has been wasted, with a number of good stories losing a chance to get marketed. It has become a huge part of our business and it has also been able to embed itself with the other programs that we’re using before. We have been using the services of Saleforce for many years in our business but we have just recently used the Marketing cloud element of this product. This has resulted in many positive results.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The thing that I am not comfortable with is the learning concept. I was able to learn all about the automation studio on my own which was used for sending email campaigns. Also, I was easily able to create an inclusive customer lifecycle that included more than 60 email campaigns that ran on daily basis. The product is excellent and reliable for handling automated mails efficiently.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> The reporting is what I didn’t like. With a number of email campaigns running daily, it becomes really complex to maintain the reporting and this part has been disappointing in the program. Reporting by came is quite difficult and if this is fixed, results can be acquired in a simpler way.
