Sewage hookup is not available, however, a dump station is on site for registered campers.</p> <p>The park has a beautiful safe sandy beach ideal for children which is supervised during the summer period. Washrooms, change rooms, and a canteen are in operation from June through to September. A canoe and kayak launching area is available at the western edge of the park.</p> <p>Day use at the park is free; however, charges do apply for overnight camping. Quiet time is from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.</span></li> <li><span style="background-color: initial; color: initial;">Registered campers are responsible for the actions of their guests.</span></li> <li>Visitors are required to remove all their possessions from the islands upon their departure.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Campfires are permitted in designated areas only. However, should a fire ban occur, no campfires are permitted. <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><span style="background-color: initial; color: initial;">Bring your own firewood.</span></li> <li><span style="background-color: initial; color: initial;">Do not collect downed trees, limbs, brush, etc.</span></li> <li>Do not burn downed material. This decaying matter plays an important role in the healthy development of the island forest, providing cover and food for insects, small animals and birds. Please leave them where they fall.</li> </ul> </li> <li>Campers are not permitted to damage park property.</li> <li>Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Owners are completely responsible for their pet鈥檚 conduct. Please clean up after your pet.</li> <li>Alcohol is only permitted on each campsite. For the safety of your family and others, please use only plastic or metal containers as broken glass is a problem due to the rockiness of the islands.</li> <li>If a seasonal camper is unhappy with their site during the course of the season and no longer wishes to use it, the campsite must be returned to the City. A prorated refund of 50% will be remitted to the camper for any cancellation received prior to July 1.</li> <li>The City of Brockville Islands are classified as public lands and, as such, individuals utilizing these lands are subject to all applicable municipal, provincial and federal legislation. In addition, all City of Brockville bylaws are enforced under the Provincial Offences Act and any violations will result in the immediate issuance of fines and, in some cases, the termination of campsite privileges without refund.</li> <li>Please ensure your campsite is vacated and left clean by ensuring that all waste is removed. Do not leave any unwanted items such as barbecues, garbage, etc. for the City to dispose of: this is your responsibility.</li> </ol> <p>Please follow “Leave no trace” principles and pack it in, pack it out processes. </p> </div></div> </div> <h3 class="wp-block-heading" id="island-lottery">Seasonal Island Camping</h3> <p>A limited number of seasonal campsites are available each year and are awarded through a lottery system. Documentation may be required to confirm residency.
