Este debate envolvia a questão de definir os “antecedentes” da história do Brasil, assumindo para a história uma lógica narrativa dotada de implicações. O processo histórico assim escolhido definia um “centro” para a história do Brasil, que poderia ser “interno” (território e populações indígenas) ou “externo” (Europa, ou processo de expansão do capitalismo comercial). Aqui, buscamos analisar as implicações dessa tríade teórica antecedentes-processo-centro na historiografia de formação brasileira à luz, por fim, de reavaliações possíveis do lugar e papel das We particularly explore the construction of a Eurocentric view of national/European history resulting from an epistemology based on a teleological conception of historical time and the design of a geography based on the dichotomy center/peripheries. O projeto pedagógico do curso, observações em aulas das diferentes disciplinas e entrevistas com docentes e discentes trouxeram as questões que foram analisadas. Afetadas pela superiorização da brancura e pelo eurocentrismo, histórias indígenas e negras eram situadas como temáticas com menores relevâncias na formação de professores de história investigada, por causa do pouco espaço disponibilizado no currículo para o estudo dessas histórias. Se parte do pressuposto da importância do processo de desconstrução eurocêntrica contido nos padrões de ensino, por se entender a necessidade de difusão dos elementos que vem sendo construídos a partir da discussão teórico-crítica da colonialidade do saber, poder e ser. Essa teoria, é fruto de uma luta de desconstrução epistêmica consolidada no seio da América Latina, e pode propiciar uma revolução teórica no sentido que imprimimos, entendemos e transpassamos em sala de aula como padrão normativo do que deve ser ensinado desde o padrão normativo da BNCC, assim como dos padrões eurocentrados aos quais a maior parte dos docentes do ensino básico foram formados.
