胶东面塑作为一种民间传统工艺，如今已有千年的历史。虽然现在这种工艺在城市已不多见，但在烟台各地农村，它仍是婚嫁建房等喜庆事中不可缺少的物品，民间流传这样一句歌谣：“做春燕，捏龙凤，描花画叶欢吉庆”。近日，记者采访了栖霞市管道镇专门做面塑的村民姜香敏。 <BR><BR> 姜香敏今年53岁，是管道镇有名的“职业面塑家”。她告诉记者，她从小就对面塑感兴趣，那时候面粉紧缺，她就用泥巴捏出各种各样的花鸟形象。结婚后，谁家有喜事，都找她去帮忙做面塑。3年前，她开始专门定做面塑。随着名气越来越大，蓬莱、莱阳的百姓慕名前来定做，她一年四季忙不断。 <BR><BR> 据姜香敏讲，做面塑没有模子，全靠自己用手揉捏，塑出基本模样，再用工具剪出具体形态。入锅蒸熟后，再用食用色素描上颜色，一个个形态各异的面塑就做成了。农村讲究多，青年人结婚要做“龙凤呈祥盆”、“鸳鸯”，老年人庆寿要做“寿桃”。用得最多的是农村盖房上梁时，要做“狮子”、“老虎”，有“看门狮子把门虎”之说。此外还要做一些小型面塑，上梁时，由工匠们在梁上把面塑、糖果往下洒，让人们争抢，使喜庆气氛达到高潮。
