The collection comes from the minds of Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, two Uruguayan women who are based in Los Angeles, and features unique, one-of-a-kind offerings that work amicably when placed next to each other. Offerings include a sofa and armchair duo named ‘Linea,’ a ‘Split’ coffee table of solid walnut and blackened steel, and the ‘Peel,’ a cabinet with a door that appears to be “peeling” down towards the floor. Estudio Persona commented on the collection in a statement: “Hilo intends to show the unity of two or more elements together. The line work explores the interdependency of various elements – a balance of Intermission and continuity that aims to create tension between shapes and materials, using a void space to freely let the mind connect the pieces.” The ‘Hilo’ collection is now available on Estudio Persona’s website and ranges from $9,000 USD to $19,000 The collection comes from the minds of Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young, two Uruguayan women who are based in Los Angeles, and features unique, one-of-a-kind offerings that work amicably when placed next to each other. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nOfferings include a sofa and armchair duo named \u2018Linea,\u2019 a \u2018Split\u2019 coffee table of solid walnut and blackened steel, and the \u2018Peel,\u2019 a cabinet with a door that appears to be \u201cpeeling\u201d down towards the floor.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nEstudio Persona commented on the collection in a statement: \u201cHilo intends to show the unity of two or more elements together. This work captures the warmth and sturdiness that represents the notion of togetherness. <br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe name of the design studio itself means 'together' in Spanish and to capture that, the designs play with light and shadow. The designers drew inspiration from natural materials and took all of those into consideration. The capsule is comprised of the Raja Chair, the Arc Bench, and the Parallel Desk. All of these pieces seamlessly blend together in harmony and elevate any space it is in. The bench has a waved structure and chevron detail. Drawing from experiences, longings and food cravings, the five-piece furniture collection is both playful and functional. The collection also touches on the contrast between physical and digital experiences, especially as they began to blend together with the rise of Zoom calls. <br \/>\n <br \/>\nThe Fortune chair gets its name and shape from a fortune cookie, as Donnelly and Lee found that they became particularly fond of Chinese food. In the collection, there's also the Sport Sofa, which has visible seams and a bright color that mimics a tennis ball.
