<t><p class="indent1">You have sent<MH7971> your messengers<MH6735a> a great distance<MH7350> <t><p class="indent1">And made<MH8213> <i>them</i> go<MH8213> down<MH8213> to <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[i]</a></span>Sheol<MH7585>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>“You were tired<MH3021> out<MH3021> by the length<MH7230> of your road<MH1870>, <t><p class="indent1"><i>Yet</i> you did not say<MH559>, ‘It is hopeless<MH2976>!’ <t><p class="indent1">You found<MH4672> <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[j]</a></span>renewed<MH2416a> strength<MH3027>, <t><p class="indent1">Therefore<MH5921, 3651> you did not <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[k]</a></span>faint<MH2470a>. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>“Of whom<MH4310> were<MH1672> you worried<MH1672> and fearful<MH3372a> <t><p class="indent1">When<MH3588> you lied<MH3576>, and did not remember<MH2142> Me <t><p class="indent1"><span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[l]</a></span>Nor<MH3808> give<MH7760> <i>Me</i> a thought<MH3820>? <t><p class="indent1">Was I not silent<MH2814>, even for a long<MH5769> time<MH5769>, <t><p class="indent1">So you do not fear<MH3372a> Me? <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“I will declare<MH5046> your righteousness<MH6666> and your deeds<MH4639>, <t><p class="indent1">And they will not benefit<MH3276> you. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“When you cry<MH2199> out<MH2199>, let your collection<MH6899> <i>of idols</i> save<MH5337> you. <t><p class="indent1">But the wind<MH7307> will carry<MH5375> them all<MH3605> up<MH5375>, <t><p class="indent1"><i>And</i> a breath<MH1892> will take<MH3947> <i>them away.</i> <t><p class="indent1">But the one who takes<MH2620> refuge<MH2620> in Me will inherit<MH5157> the land<MH776> <t><p class="indent1">And possess<MH3423> My holy<MH6944> mountain<MH2022>.” <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And it will be said<MH559>, <p class="indent1stline">“Build<MH5549> up<MH5549>, build<MH5549> up<MH5549>, prepare<MH6437> the way<MH1870>, <t><p class="indent1">Remove<MH7311> <i>every</i> obstacle<MH4383> from the way<MH1870> of My people<MH5971a>.” <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>For this<MH3541> is<MH3541> what<MH3541> the high<MH7311> and exalted<MH5375> One <t><p class="indent1">Who <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[m]</a></span>lives<MH7931> forever<MH5703>, whose name<MH8034> is Holy<MH6918>, says<MH559>: <p class="indent1stline">“I dwell<MH7931> <i>in</i> a high<MH4791> and holy<MH6918> place, <t><p class="indent1">And <i>also</i> with the contrite<MH1793a> and lowly<MH8217> of spirit<MH7307> <t><p class="indent1">In order to revive<MH2421a> the spirit<MH7307> of the lowly<MH8217> <t><p class="indent1">And to revive<MH2421a> the heart<MH3820> of the contrite<MH1792>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/isaiah/57-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>“For I will not contend<MH7378> forever<MH5769>, <t><p class="indent1">Nor<MH3808> will I always<MH5331> be<MH7107> angry<MH7107>;
