It is a great tool when it comes to local SEO, whether you're aiming to improve it or report on it.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I don't have a lot of complaints but one thing I do wish that was better was the onboarding time with regards to new accounts. Because of this, there are several instances when we have issues about listings not reflecting the changes that clients did because it would revert to original when we access it. It allows users (companies that need to handle multiple platforms on the web, basically) to control all dealings from one central place. I am in the Marketing and Advertising industry and SEO campaigns are really important for us to drive more traffic to our website. Through Yext, not only have we improved our ratings, but we’ve also been able to make sure that our message across all platforms is consistent. If you are in the market for a tool that gives you control over all your platforms, then do yourself a favor and check out Yext.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I really liked their review generator—too bad they decided to discontinue that feature. The task, without the aid of the software, would have been too much time-consuming and tiring. I love that it consolidates all of the reports and performance insight so that I don’t have to jump from one to another just to view all my data. I love that Yext also lets me engage with my audience (again, from one central point) quite easily.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Yext has this unwelcome capacity to publish posts on our social media pages. It also lets me view information and even make updates from one central location. This allows me to make sure that my efforts for all the pages I manage are the same across all. They have a really great team that can answer all of my questions and remedy all my issues in a snap.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> Somehow, their reports take a month to generate. So, I never get my reports on time, it’s always a month delayed. And in my opinion, they cast too wide a net for their clients. They should specialize in a particular field. The price points should be taken down a notch too. Every time we have come to them they have always been helpful, well-informed, friendly, and quick to respond.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I think one negative with this tool is that if we were to choose to use a different one, the data it consolidated for us would end up scattered all over the web again. The fact that it updates throughout our digital footprint is a great feature. I've been able to use this to monitor our reputation, suppress any incorrect or outdated information, as well as to maintain our listings in online directories. Because we are a sprawling business with several locations all over the country, it can get a little hectic keeping track of all of them. With this tool, I have been able to stay on top of these locations and the information that goes out about them simply by just adding them to the tool. I can easily remove information that is no longer relevant and just as easily maintain the new information.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> More current versions of this tool have included features like analytics, and to be honest I don't think this is the best move for them. There are already other tools that do this and do this well, and I don't think it does this tool any good. I think they should focus on their initial scope of managing brand data and expand on that instead. With it, we can easily check on the performance of our client's websites and come up with the appropriate report. There is no steep learning curve when it comes to the dashboard, and I and the team were able to grasp it quickly. It is a great tool when it comes to local SEO, whether you're aiming to improve it or report on it.</p> <p><strong>CONS:</strong> I don't have a lot of complaints but one thing I do wish that was better was the onboarding time with regards to new accounts. The process can take a while, and sometimes that doesn't sit well with clients who want the information as quickly as possible.
