but what I have I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>And taking him by the right hand, he raised <i>him</i> up: and immediately his feet and ancles were strengthened: <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>and leaping up he stood <i>firm,</i> and walked; and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God. <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And all the people saw him walking and praising God: <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>and knew that it was he who sat <i>to ask</i> for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with astonishment and extasy at what had befallen him.<p> <A name="12"></a><p class="hdg">Peter Speaks in Solomon’s Colonnade<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And as the lame <i>man</i> that was healed had hold of Peter and John, all the people being astonished ran together to them to the porch called Solomon's <i>porch.</i> <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>And Peter seeing <i>this</i> said to the people, Men of Israel, why marvel ye at this, or why look ye <i>so</i> earnestly on us, as if by our own power or piety we had made this <i>man able</i> to walk? <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>The God of Abraham and of Isaac and of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his son Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied before Pilate, when he determined to release <i>Him.</i> <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>But ye refused the holy and righteous <i>One,</i> and desired a murderer to be granted unto you: <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>and put to death the prince of life; whom God hath raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses. <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>And through faith in his name, hath strengthened this <i>man,</i> whom ye see and know: his name, <i>I say,</i> and saith in Him, hath wrought this perfect cure before you all.<p> <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And now, brethren, I know that ye did it through ignorance, as <i>did</i> also your rulers: <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>but thus hath God accomplished those things which He had foretold by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer. <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out: that seasons of refreshing may come <i>upon you</i> from the presence of the Lord; <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>and He may send Jesus Christ, who was before preached unto you: <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span>whom heaven must indeed receive till the times of settling all things, of which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets from the beginning. <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>For Moses said unto the fathers, the Lord your God will raise up a prophet unto you, of your brethren, <i>like</i> me, Him shall ye hear in all <i>things</i> whatever He shall say unto you; <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span>and every soul, who will not hearken to that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people: yea and all the prophets from Samuel, <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span>and those that followed, as many as have prophesied, have also foretold these days. <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><i>Now</i> ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant, which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, "And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed:" <span class="reftext"><a href="/acts/3-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><i>and</i> to you first God having raised up his son Jesus, sent Him to bless you;
