2019</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">One of the barriers for using a target language as a communicative tool is the issues of pronunciation. The meanings of the concepts of speech, articulation, pronunciation, diction were examined in this article, which aims to answer the questions of how and how much to give place to pronunciation training in Turkish education for foreigners, and it has been tried to develop an overview of pronunciation education in foreign language teaching by using the literature survey method. In order to draw a frame on how and how much training of pronunciation takes place in the textbooks prepared for teaching Turkish for foreigners; “Gazi, Turkish for Foreigners / A1 Basic Level”, and “Yedi Ġklim Turkish A1 Level Course Book”, and ”Istanbul / Turkish for Foreigners“, and “Turkish Curriculum as a Foreign Language” prepared by Ankara University, were examined. It has been tried to determine the role of pronunciation education in language teaching approaches, and recommendations have been made for strategies that can be used for pronunciation education and activities that can be applied. Öğrenicinin konuşma performansını etkileyen bileşenler, parçalı ve parçalarüstü birimlerdir. Öğreniciler, üstdilbilimsel bilgilerine başvurarak parçalı birimler aracılığıyla dizgeleri oluştururlar. Parçalı birimlerden ayrı düşünülemeyen prozodik özellikler ise anlam ayırıcı işleve sahip olmalarının yanı sıra duygusal ifadelere aracılık ettiğinden konuşma dilinin vazgeçilmez unsurlarıdır. Parçalarüstü birimlerden vurgu, Türkçede paralinguistiktir ancak öğrenicilerin ana dillerinde aynı şekilde konumlandırılmayabilir. Bu durum, yanlış anlaşılmaları ve iletişim engellerini beraberinde getirebilir. Bu çalışmada Türkçeyi yabancı dil olarak öğrenen Arapça konuşurlarının Türkçe sözcük ve tümce vurgularında karşılaştıkları güçlükleri tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Azez ve Afrin Yunus Emre Türk Kültür Merkezlerinde temel düzeyde Türkçe öğrenen 91 öğrenicinin sesli okuma ve bağımsız konuşma performansları kayıt altına alınmıştır. Kayıtların karşıtsal çözümleme yöntemiyle incelenmesi için okuma metinleri ana dili konuşurları tarafından da sesletilmiştir. Kayıtlar Praat ses analizi programıyla incelenerek katılımcıların vurgu grafikleri alınmış, betimsel analiz yöntemiyle yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğreniciler, performansları sırasında ana dillerinin fonolojik filtresine takılarak vurgu üretimlerini ana dillerindeki gibi yapılandırmaktadır. Dinleyici-konuşucu etkileşiminin önünde önemli bir engel olan yabancı aksanını sosyal olarak anlaşılır düzeye getirebilmek için parçalı ve parçalarüstü birimlerin üretimi üzerine ayrıca etkinlikler teknoloji bir taraftan iletişimi daha hızlı ve pratik hale getirirken diğer taraftan kendi içinde yeni bir dil yaratmakta ve çağı yakalamak isteyenlere, ortaya çıkan bu dilin kullanımını dayatmaktadır. Bu durum, başta kısaltmalar olmak üzere, çeşitli duyguları gösteren dijital karakterlere, harf ve noktalama işaretlerinin birleşimi şeklinde sosyal medyadaki yazışmalara, e-posta ve mesaj yazımına yansımaktadır. Bu çalışmada C1 seviyesinde Türkçe bilen farklı ana dili konuşan altmış öğreniciye Türkçe mesaj dilinde kullanılan, çoğunluğunu kısaltmaların oluşturduğu mesaj dili örnekleri sorulmuştur. Bu örnekler Ekşi Sözlük, Uludağ Sözlük ve çeşitli internet siteleri taranarak elde edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak C1 seviyesindeki öğrenicilerin kısa mesaj diline tam olarak hâkim olmadıkları, verilen örneklerin açılımları için yazdıkları cevapların onları çeşitli iletişim hatalarına sürükleyebileceği tespit edilmiştir. Özellikle yabancı dil eğitiminde performansı ve başarıyı etkileyen kişilik özellikleri, öğrenme stilleri ve stratejileri, özgüven, özsaygı, öz denetleme becerisi gibi birçok unsur vardır. Dilbilimciler ve eğitimcilerin en çok üzerinde durduğu konulardan olan motivasyon ve iletişim kurma istekliliği ise, yabancı dil öğrenimini direkt olarak etkileyen unsurlar arasındadır. Motivasyon ve Dil Öğrenimi Dörnyei (2005)'e göre motivasyon, dil öğrenme sürecini başlatmak ve devam ettirmek için gerekli olan itici güçtür. Eğer öğrencide motivasyon varsa, bir bilgiyi edinmek veya bir aktiviteyi başlatıp tamamlamak için daha isteklidir.
