Bien trop souvent, nous essayons de cacher ces expériences et de dissimuler les parties de nous-mêmes dont nous ne sommes pas satisfaits, ce qui crée une distance par rapport aux personnes qui se soucient de nous. Pourtant, c’est notre capacité à faire part de nos difficultés et à admettre que la vie peut être difficile qui nous rend accessibles et qui permet aux autres de s’identifier à nous. Après tout, il est difficile de se sentir proche de quelqu'un qui projette une image de force et d'invulnérabilité.</p> <p>Il ne faut pas avoir peur de faire preuve de vulnérabilité, bien au contraire. Ce n’est qu’en nous acceptant dans notre totalité que nous pouvons être en paix avec nous-même.</p> <h2>Faites preuve de compassion envers vous-même</h2> <p>Le premier pas dans la lutte contre le sentiment de honte consiste à examiner comment on se parle à soi-même et à faire preuve de compassion envers soi-même. Si vous êtes trop dur envers vous-même, vous pouvez éprouver du mal à vous ouvrir aux autres. Faire preuve de compassion envers soi-même signifie se traiter avec bienveillance, en optant pour une approche chaleureuse et dénuée de jugement. Il faut pour cela identifier des exemples spécifiques de nos points forts et de notre progression, ainsi que les aspects dans lesquels nous devons nous améliorer. Il faut assumer la responsabilité de notre <a href="/fr-be/drinking-and-your-mind/how-does-drinking-affect-mood-and-behaviour">comportement</a> – même s’il est mauvais, et nous accepter en tant qu’être humain. Cela nous permet de voir clairement les choses et nous évite de nous retrouver prisonniers de comportements destructeurs et répétitifs.</p> <h2>Considérez votre vulnérabilité comme une force</h2> <p>Lorsque l’on traverse des difficultés, on a souvent tendance à se sentir seul. Vous pensez peut-être que parce que les autres ont l’air d’aller bien de l’extérieur, ils n’ont pas de problèmes. En réalité, ils ont probablement des peurs et des doutes similaires aux vôtres. Le fait que vous ne vous sentiez pas maître de tout en toutes circonstances ne fait pas de vous une personne incompétente. Cela signifie simplement que vous êtes humain.
