This study adheres to the rigorous standards of a descriptive-evaluative research design and a mixed-methods approach. It serves as a preliminary evaluation review on the readiness of an educational institution to develop a rural farm tourism site following the Philippine Department of Tourism's minimum requirements (DOT). Findings reveal that there are subsets in the minimum requirements that bar the initiative to prosper. In both evaluation and theatre, stories are told for the purpose of stimulating interest, reflection, and insights into the complexity of human behaviour. In the world of program evaluation judgements about program merit, worth, or significance are generated through an evaluator’s interactions with theory, stakeholders and colleagues. Program insights are thus tied to the quality and complexity of these interactions.<br />This thesis tells the story of my transition from drama teacher-to-graduate student- to-evaluator-researcher. It begins with my motivations for this transition; includes my learning about internal, participatory and collaborative evaluation. Finally, this thesis speculates on how inquiry and experiences, such as the ones documented here, might inform the learning of other novice evaluators. It accomplishes this latter goal by making explicit the complexities of a participatory and collaborative evaluation process and the considerations and deliberations that I faced in attempting to enact this approach.<br />This thesis reflects the fact that I have always used stories as a way to understand and make meaning, Presented in the structure of a play, this narrative purposefully examines the values, challenges, and possibilities for learning that arose in my collaboration with other evaluation colleagues. Over the five acts I reveal my growing understanding of evaluation theory and practice and how this was shaping my understanding of who I was becoming. The final Act explores the notion that professional learning and identity is not a fixed or exclusive concept.<br />This thesis suggests that learning from experience is valuable in contributing to the growth of novices. In learning to do evaluation it is not enough to focus on models of practice or theoretical principles. In both evaluation and theatre, stories are told for the purpose of stimulating interest, reflection, and insights into the complexity of human behaviour. In the world of program evaluation judgements about program merit, worth, or significance are generated through an evaluator’s interactions with theory, stakeholders and colleagues. Program insights are thus tied to the quality and complexity of these interactions.\nThis thesis tells the story of my transition from drama teacher-to-graduate student- to-evaluator-researcher. It begins with my motivations for this transition; includes my learning about internal, participatory and collaborative evaluation. Finally, this thesis speculates on how inquiry and experiences, such as the ones documented here, might inform the learning of other novice evaluators. It accomplishes this latter goal by making explicit the complexities of a participatory and collaborative evaluation process and the considerations and deliberations that I faced in attempting to enact this approach.\nThis thesis reflects the fact that I have always used stories as a way to understand and make meaning, Presented in the structure of a play, this narrative purposefully examines the values, challenges, and possibilities for learning that arose in my collaboration with other evaluation colleagues. Over the five acts I reveal my growing understanding of evaluation theory and practice and how this was shaping my understanding of who I was becoming. The final Act explores the notion that professional learning and identity is not a fixed or exclusive concept.\nThis thesis suggests that learning from experience is valuable in contributing to the growth of novices. This measure was designed primarily to meet the demands of teachers to the needs... <a class="more_link u-tcGrayDark u-linkUnstyled" data-container=".work_8964436" data-show=".complete" data-hide=".summarized" data-more-link-behavior="true" href="#">more</a></div><div class="complete hidden">In early 2000, the Ministry of Education of Quebec has introduced a measure of class size reduction (CSR) in preschool and early elementary school grades. <br />This measure was designed primarily to meet the demands of teachers to the needs of differentiated instruction, inclusion and support for students at risk, particularly in <br />disadvantaged areas. To check whether this measure produced the expected changes, our research group has been mandated to assess the conditions of implantation and the direct and indirect effects of the CSR. However, during the realization of this research, <br />we were faced with various situations that have facilitated or adversely affected the implementation of evaluation design. This experience has highlighted the difficulties and peculiarities of the evaluative research in education. In this paper, we fi rst present a brief overview of the review conducted on the evaluative research on the CSR emphasizing diffi culties and limitations. We then identify the problems encountered in assessing the CSR who have had an impact on our research. Since its implementation, there has been continuous growth of the presence of this modality across every Autonomous Community, with Andalusia being one of the latest regions to dualize the Vocational Educational Training (hereinafter VET) educational scheme. From the outset however, this modality has faced a number of obstacles that question its sustainability. Without losing sight of these obstacles, and with the purpose of providing arguments that justify the suitability of this model in Andalusia, this study aims to identify-from the unique perspective of three Andalusian educational institutions-the strengths of this modality and the opportunities that the Andalusian context offers. To this end, we have used the SWOT technique to analyse the opinion of a group of teachers regarding their thoughts on the Andalusian Dual VET system, from both an internal and external perspective. Workforce insertion and the quality of skills gained through training are some of the strengths that characterize this model, with the greatest opportunities derived from the needs of the Andalusian business and productive sectors. Study programme evaluation research has been conducted, the aim of which is to carry out study programme evaluation analysis and to analyse the position of postgraduates after finishing their degree. The evaluation is based on the students’, having successfully completed study programme, opinion analysis. The research was carried out using inquiry (individual interview) method. Data was obtained from 16 informants. <br />Data, analysed using descriptive analysis method show, that study programme is valued positively in all aspects. It has been stated, that study process optimal organisation determines positive programme evaluation.
