<t><p class="indent1">They have<MH1633a> no<MH3808> bones<MH1633a> to<MH1633a> gnaw<MH1633a> in the morning<MH1242>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-4.htm"><b>4</b></a></span>Her prophets<MH5030> are insolent<MH6348>, treacherous<MH900> men<MH376>; <t><p class="indent1">Her priests<MH3548> have profaned<MH2490c> the sanctuary<MH6944>. <t><p class="indent1">They have done<MH2554> violence<MH2554> to the Law<MH8451>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-5.htm"><b>5</b></a></span>The LORD<MH3068> is righteous<MH6662> within<MH7130> her; <t><p class="indent1">He will do<MH6213a> no<MH3808> injustice<MH5767b>. <t><p class="indent1">Every<MH1242> morning<MH1242> He brings<MH5414> His justice<MH4941> to light<MH216>; <t><p class="indent1">He <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[a]</a></span>does not fail<MH5737c>. <t><p class="indent1">But the <span class="fn"><a href="#fn">[b]</a></span>criminal<MH5767a> knows<MH3045> no<MH3808> shame<MH1322>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-6.htm"><b>6</b></a></span>“I have eliminated<MH3772> nations<MH1471>; <t><p class="indent1">Their corner<MH6438> towers<MH6438> are<MH8074> deserted<MH8074>. <t><p class="indent1">I have laid<MH2717b> waste<MH2717b> their streets<MH2351>, <t><p class="indent1">With no<MH1097> one<MH1097> passing<MH5674a> by<MH5674a>; <t><p class="indent1">Their cities<MH5892b> have been laid<MH6658b> waste<MH6658b>, <t><p class="indent1">Without<MH4480, 1097> a person<MH376>, without<MH4480, 369> an inhabitant<MH3427>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>“I said<MH559>, ‘You will certainly<MH389> revere<MH3372a> Me, <t><p class="indent1">You will accept<MH3947> discipline<MH4148>.’ <t><p class="indent1">So her dwelling<MH4583> will not be eliminated<MH3772> <t><p class="indent1"><i>In accordance with</i> everything<MH3605> that I have stipulated<MH6485> for her. <t><p class="indent1">Instead, they were<MH7925> eager<MH7925> to corrupt<MH7843> all<MH3605> their deeds<MH5949>. <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>“Therefore<MH3651> wait<MH2442> for Me,” declares<MH5002> the LORD<MH3068>, <p class="indent1stline">“For the day<MH3117> when I rise<MH6965> up<MH6965> as a witness<MH5707>. <t><p class="indent1">Indeed<MH3588>, My decision<MH4941> <i>is</i> to gather<MH622> nations<MH1471>, <t><p class="indent1">To assemble<MH6908> kingdoms<MH4467>, <t><p class="indent1">To pour<MH8210> out<MH8210> on them My indignation<MH2195>, <t><p class="indent1">All<MH3605> My burning<MH2740> anger<MH639>; <t><p class="indent1">For then<MH227> I will remove<MH5493> from your midst<MH7130> <t><p class="indent1">Your proud<MH1346>, arrogant<MH5947> ones<MH5947>, <t><p class="indent1">And you will never<MH3808, 5750> again<MH3254> be<MH1361b> haughty<MH1361b> <t><p class="indent1">On My holy<MH6944> mountain<MH2022>. <p class="hdg">A Remnant of Israel</p><poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>“But I will leave<MH7604> among<MH7130> you <t><p class="indent1">A humble<MH6041> and lowly<MH1800b> people<MH5971a>, <t><p class="indent1">And they will take<MH2620> refuge<MH2620> in the name<MH8034> of the LORD<MH3068>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>“The remnant<MH7611> of Israel<MH3478> will do<MH6213a> no<MH3808> wrong<MH5767b> <t><p class="indent1">And tell<MH1696> no<MH3808> lies<MH3577>, <t><p class="indent1">Nor<MH3808> will a deceitful<MH8649b> tongue<MH3956> <t><p class="indent1">Be found<MH4672> in their mouths<MH6310>; <t><p class="indent1">For they will feed<MH7462a> and lie<MH7257> down<MH7257> <t><p class="indent1">With no<MH369> one<MH369> to frighten<MH2729> <i>them.</i>” <poetry><p class="paragraph"><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>Shout<MH7442> for<MH7442> joy<MH7442>, daughter<MH1323> of Zion<MH6726>! <t><p class="indent1">Shout<MH7321> <i>in triumph,</i> Israel<MH3478>! <t><p class="indent1">Rejoice<MH8055> and triumph<MH5937> with all<MH3605> <i>your</i> heart<MH3820>, <t><p class="indent1">Daughter<MH1323> of Jerusalem<MH3389>! <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>The LORD<MH3068> has taken<MH5493> away<MH5493> <i>His</i> judgments<MH4941> against you, <t><p class="indent1">He has cleared<MH6437> away<MH6437> your enemies<MH340>. <t><p class="indent1">The King<MH4428> of Israel<MH3478>, the LORD<MH3068>, is in your midst<MH7130>; <t><p class="indent1">You will no<MH3808> longer<MH5750> fear<MH3372a> disaster<MH7451b>. <poetry><p class="indent1"><span class="reftext"><a href="/zephaniah/3-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>On that day<MH3117> it will be said<MH559> to Jerusalem<MH3389>: <p class="indent1stline">“Do not be<MH3372a> afraid<MH3372a>, Zion<MH6726>;
