Visit bookings are retained on the system for 21 days after the visit and then deleted.</p> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p>We collect registration details with parental consent for workshops run by the Learning Department for 14 – 17 year olds, which are deleted after the event. </p> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p class="MsoBodyText">Where we provide online services likely to be accessed by a minor, the best interests of the child are our primary consideration. You will be notified before the event and again as you join if it is going to be recorded. By joining a recorded event you are giving your consent to be recorded. The V&A has procedures in place to minimise the risk to your privacy and to ensure recordings are managed appropriately in line with data protection legislation. You can also protect your own privacy by muting your microphone, turning your camera off and using an appropriate pseudonymous screen name to join the session.</p> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <h3 class="sir-trevor-text__header"> CCTV </h3> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p>CCTV is in use across all V&A sites to help ensure the safety and security of visitors, staff, collections and property, and for the prevention and detection of crime. Notices are displayed at all public entrances. As images are captured of everyone on and around the immediate perimeter of V&A sites, this may include children and vulnerable groups.</p> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p>The system is managed in line with recommendations from the police, the Surveillance Camera Code of Practice published by the Biometrics & Surveillance Camera Commissioner, Security Industry Association requirements and the Information Commissioner’s Office guidance on Video surveillance.</p> </div> <div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p>Recordings are kept securely for a maximum of 31 days. Extracts may be kept longer for the purposes of an investigation into a security or safety incident, or for a Subject Access Request. Extracts may be shared with the police or other agencies for the purposes of an investigation. Any footage released in response to a Subject Access Request will obscure all individuals other than the data subject.</p> </div> <header id="data-sharing" class="b-section-header b-section-header--alternate"> <h2 class="b-section-header__title">Data sharing</h2> </header><div class="sir-trevor-text"> <p>Where appropriate, your personal data may be accessed by and shared with all parts of the V&A. In limited circumstances, we may share some data with the <a href="https://vamaf.org/">V&A Americas Foundation</a>, an independent charity based in New York that supports the work of the V&A by raising gifts from US taxpayers towards acquisitions, exhibitions, scholarship and capital projects.
