You seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the <i>One</i> having been crucified. He is risen! He is not here! Behold the place where they laid Him. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-7.htm"><b>7</b></a></span>But go, say to His disciples and to Peter that He goes before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.” </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-8.htm"><b>8</b></a></span>And having gone out, they fled from the tomb, for trembling and amazement had seized them. And they spoke nothing to <i>anyone</i>; for they were afraid.<span class="fn"><a href="#fna" title="Some manuscripts end the Gospel of Mark after verse 8 or 9. Some of these include a version of the following after verse 8: ‘But they quickly reported all these instructions to Peter's companions. Afterward, Jesus himself, through them, sent out from east to west the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. Amen.’">a</a></span> </p><hr size="1" color="DDEEFF"><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Mary Magdalene<br /><span class="cross">(John 20:10-18)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-9.htm"><b>9</b></a></span>And having risen early <i>the</i> first <i>day</i> of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, from whom He had cast out seven demons. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-10.htm"><b>10</b></a></span>She having gone, told <i>it</i> to those having been with Him, mourning and weeping. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And they having heard that He is alive and has been seen by her, disbelieved. </p><p class="hdg">Jesus Appears to Two Disciples<br /><span class="cross">(Luke 24:13-24)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>And after these things, He appeared in another form to two of them as they are walking, going into <i>the</i> country. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>And they having gone, told <i>it</i> to the rest; neither did they believe them. </p><p class="hdg">The Great Commission<br /><span class="cross">(Matthew 28:16-20)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And afterward, <i>as</i> they were reclining, He appeared to the eleven and rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those having seen Him arisen. </p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And He said to them, <span class="red">“Having gone into all the world, proclaim the gospel to all the creation. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>The <i>one</i> having believed and having been baptized will be saved, but the <i>one</i> having disbelieved will be condemned. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And these signs will accompany those having believed: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span>and with their hands they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it shall never hurt them; they will lay hands upon <i>the</i> sick, and they will be well.”</span> </p><p class="hdg">The Ascension<br /><span class="cross">(Luke 24:50-53; Acts 1:6-11)</span></p><p class="reg"><span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>Therefore indeed the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into the heaven and sat at <i>the</i> right hand of God. <span class="reftext"><a href="/mark/16-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And having gone forth, they preached everywhere, the Lord working with <i>them</i> and confirming the word by the accompanying signs.<A name="fn"><br /><br /></p><A name="fna"></a><span class="footnotesbot">a</span> <span class="fnverse">8</span> <span class="footnote">Some manuscripts end the Gospel of Mark after verse 8 or 9.
