bleue</i>.</p><p>Le prix en question a été créé par le Salon du livre de Montréal, en collaboration avec Télé-Québec et la Société de développement des entreprises culturelles, pour « honorer l’oeuvre et l’héritage de <a href="https://www.ledevoir.com/janette-bertrand">Janette Bertrand</a> ». Il est assorti d’une bourse de 5000 $ et récompense des oeuvres littéraires québécoises ou franco-canadiennes qui abordent les thèmes de l’égalité des sexes, de l’autonomie des femmes et de la lutte contre les violences de genre.</p><p>Le roman <i><a href="https://www.ledevoir.com/lire/807793/litterature-quebecoise-toronto-jamais-bleue-ciel-gris-demunies?" notaddlevel="true" target="_blank">Toronto jamais bleue</a></i>, paru chez Leméac, traite de la dure réalité de femmes itinérantes et prostituées qui vivent dans une ville indifférente à leurs difficultés. Il s’agit du troisième roman de M<sup>me</sup> Larochelle, qui est professeure de littérature à l’Université York, à Toronto.</p><p>« Dénoncer des injustices faites aux femmes, c’est ouvrir des pistes de solution qui finalement changeront le monde. Merci, Marie-Hélène Larochelle, pour l’écriture, de phrases courtes, des intrigues bouleversantes et le goût de tourner les pages ! » écrit Janette Bertrand dans un communiqué.</p><p>L’ancienne première ministre du Québec Pauline Marois a présidé le jury. Par communiqué, elle félicite l’autrice et souligne la qualité de son roman, « un véritable cri à entendre par tou.te.s, dans une écriture qui a la force de ne jamais juger, alors que le pays s’enlise dans une <a href="https://www.ledevoir.com/crise-du-logement">crise du logement</a> sans précédent ».</p><p>Les quatre autres oeuvres finalistes étaient <i>Porter plainte</i> de Léa Clermont-Dion (Le
