The Central fortification area where the initial castrum was is now an archaeological protected site of the highest importance. Here, Legio VII Claudia and Legio XXII Primigenia among others stationed troops. Buildings in the centre of this Roman city have been looted over the centuries and revealing its internal structure and organization can be difficult because of displacement and destruction of structures. Over large areas, dismantled walls are spread within the first 0.5 m in the soil and can be an obstacle in conducting non-invasive research. In this paper, we assess the effectiveness of a delineation survey by means of Electrical Resistivity Tomography, a non-invasive geophysical prospection technique used widely in research on Roman period sites. Having the possibility to compare our survey results to those of research excavation conducted later that year (2019), that targeted a large resistive body present in the geophysical data, we found that the ERT method was successful in accurately locating anomalies later identified as being the walls of a large building with the bonus of another wall adjacent to it, implying a more complex internal organization than initially assumed. The survey helped delineate multiple anomalies associated with structures which is a first step in reconstructing the layout of the centre of the Roman colonia Romula.","author":[{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"Person","name":"Adrian Șerbănescu"}],"contributor":[],"dateCreated":"2021-01-04","datePublished":"2020-01-01","headline":"Geophysical The aim was to detect buried traces of a Byzantine basilica of the sixth century, on the ruins of which, according to tradition, the construction of St Nicholas was begun in the 12th century. The survey has been conducted on the floor of the monument, using a dipole-dipole electrode array along two perpendicular sets of profiles. In order to model the resistivity distribution, the probability-based electrical resistivity tomography inversion (PERTI) method has been applied. Sets of aligned blocks with resistivity in the range 100-400 ohm•m, bounding a three-room rectangular space, and traces of a rounded structure with mean resistivity about 150 ohm•m, appearing at one extremity of the central room, are the main resistive features recognized down to 4 m depth, within a conductive background with resistivity in the range 20-40 ohm•m. Altogether, these resistive features, showing in plan the shape of a church characterized by a central nave with an apse and two side aisles, have been interpreted as an evidence of the existence of remains of the earlier Byzantine basilica. Moreover, small volumes with resistivity in the range 10-12.6 ohm•m have been found, scattered underneath the whole surveyed area. Taking into account the PERTI results, ground-truth has been performed in two sites, designed to become two permanent protected exposures of the archaeological findings beneath the floor of the newly restored Bedestan. At one site, excavations detected remains of masonry in correspondence of the alignment of resistive blocks at the left margin of the left side aisle of the churchlike structure. At the other site, graves, entirely filled with wet debris in an alluvial soil matrix, have, instead, been found in correspondence with the greatest conductive volume, detected outside the perimeter of the churchlike structure. Both findings have been dated back to the sixth century. Since the Bedestan case-history is one of the first applications of the PERTI algorithm to real field data sets, its performance has been tested using the well-known ERTLab TM commercial software as benchmark. The comparison has shown a general consistency between the two inversions, and also confirmed the much higher computing speed, better filtering capacity and greater versatility of the PERTI algorithm, already outlined in a previous paper where only synthetic models were tested.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Resistivity Tomography Imaging of the Substratum of the Bedestan Monumental Complex at Nicosia, Cyprus","attachmentId":89331885,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/84239352/Resistivity_Tomography_Imaging_of_the_Substratum_of_the_Bedestan_Monumental_Complex_at_Nicosia_Cyprus","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/84239352/Resistivity_Tomography_Imaging_of_the_Substratum_of_the_Bedestan_Monumental_Complex_at_Nicosia_Cyprus"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="1" data-entity-id="86882455" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/86882455/Integrated_Geophysical_Investigations_in_a_Roman_Archaeological_Site_Resca_Romula_Olt_County_Romania">Integrated Geophysical Investigations in a Roman Archaeological Site: Resca (Romula), Olt County, Romania</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="36532586" href="https://unibuc.academia.edu/BNICULESCU">Bogdan NICULESCU</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--metadata ds2-5-body-xs">Conference Proceedings (EarthDoc online database), EAGE 4th Asia Pacific Meeting on Near Surface Geoscience and Engineering, 2021</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">Integrated geophysical investigations including magnetometric, gravimetric, and 2D Electrical Resistivity Tomography (ERT) surveys were conducted in the Central Fort zone of the Roman archaeological site Romula (Reşca village, Olt County, Romania). This study, sponsored by the Foundation of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG)—Tulsa, OK, USA, was carried out by teams from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Geology and Geophysics—Department of Geophysics, and from the Geological Institute of Romania—Geohazard Department. We aimed to assess the effectiveness of various geophysical methods under the specific conditions of this site and to provide new information regarding archaeological targets, in addition to the results of a previous ERT survey from 2019 and of the archaeological excavations. The collected magnetometric data show distinct anomalous zones or lineaments with NW–SE and NE–SW orientation, likely reflecting buried Roman structures (building remains, brick walls, brick debris); generally, the identified anomalous magnetic sources correlate well with high resistivity ERT anomalies. Some particularly significant results of the 2020 geophysical survey are the clear delineation of the northeastern brick wall of the Roman Central Fort and of a possible sewage or drainage channel outside the Fort perimeter.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Integrated Geophysical Investigations in a Roman Archaeological Site: Resca (Romula), Olt County, Romania","attachmentId":110676409,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/86882455/Integrated_Geophysical_Investigations_in_a_Roman_Archaeological_Site_Resca_Romula_Olt_County_Romania","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/86882455/Integrated_Geophysical_Investigations_in_a_Roman_Archaeological_Site_Resca_Romula_Olt_County_Romania"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="2" data-entity-id="17081926" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/17081926/Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Investigations_of_Multilayered_Archaeological_Settlements_Part_II_A_Case_from_Old_Smyrna_H%C3%B6y%C3%BCk_Turkey">Electrical Resistivity Tomography Investigations of Multilayered Archaeological Settlements: Part II - A Case from Old Smyrna Höyük, Turkey</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="9285720" href="https://ingv.academia.edu/PaolaVannoli">Paola Vannoli</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--metadata ds2-5-body-xs">Archaeological Prospection, 2011</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Electrical Resistivity Tomography Investigations of Multilayered Archaeological Settlements: Part II - A Case from Old Smyrna Höyük, Turkey","attachmentId":42328358,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/17081926/Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Investigations_of_Multilayered_Archaeological_Settlements_Part_II_A_Case_from_Old_Smyrna_H%C3%B6y%C3%BCk_Turkey","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/17081926/Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Investigations_of_Multilayered_Archaeological_Settlements_Part_II_A_Case_from_Old_Smyrna_H%C3%B6y%C3%BCk_Turkey"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="3" data-entity-id="115119846" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/115119846/Characterization_of_Stronghold_Fortifications_by_2D_3D_4D_Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Major_Push_Towards_Quantitative_Interpretation">Characterization of Stronghold Fortifications by 2D/3D/4D Electrical Resistivity Tomography: Major Push Towards Quantitative Interpretation</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="772601" href="https://cuni.academia.edu/IvoStefan">Ivo Stefan</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">Geophysical methods are widely used as noninvasive tools for archaeological prospection. In a first step is usually applied basic prospection of vast areas, when data are evaluated only in qualitative way. Sometimes is performed second step, during which take place more detailed multidimensional or combined surveys in order to image archeological monuments complexly, allowing quantitative interpretation. Hence, we used a unique and novel combination of multidimensional electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) on the Early Middle Ages stronghold fortifications at Vinoř (Czechia) to achieve such interpretation. The joint results of 2D/3D/4D (time-lapse) surveys allowed us to precisely characterize individual construction components of the fortifications, including a ditch and rampart enhanced by a front wall with a berm. The ERT results recovered the fortification dimensions and the volume of building material used. The surveyed fortification section was verified by excavations directly after the ERT measurements. A comparison of the excavated section with geophysics proved that ERT was able to infer all the important fortification characteristics. In addition, illustrative picture of the resistivity manifestations of the basic components of this very typical fortification construction were obtained. The results show that multidimensional ERT provide access to quantitative interpretation allowing to explain archaeological structures behind investigated anomalies. In result, sites containing cultural heritage can be leaved intact, excavations can be substituted in surprisingly large extent, while unprecedented amount of archaeological information is still retrieved.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Characterization of Stronghold Fortifications by 2D/3D/4D Electrical Resistivity Tomography: Major Push Towards Quantitative Interpretation","attachmentId":111621227,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/115119846/Characterization_of_Stronghold_Fortifications_by_2D_3D_4D_Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Major_Push_Towards_Quantitative_Interpretation","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/115119846/Characterization_of_Stronghold_Fortifications_by_2D_3D_4D_Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_Major_Push_Towards_Quantitative_Interpretation"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="4" data-entity-id="113759512" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/113759512/Geophysical_Researches_at_the_Roman_Archaeological_Site_Romula_Olt_County_Romania">Geophysical Researches at the Roman Archaeological Site Romula, Olt County, Romania</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="36532586" href="https://unibuc.academia.edu/BNICULESCU">Bogdan NICULESCU</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--metadata ds2-5-body-xs">Proceedings of 22nd International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGEM 2022 (ISBN 978-619-7603-38-5, ISSN 1314-2704), 2022</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">Romula, the most important urban settlement of Dacia Inferior (Dacia Malvensis) province of the Roman empire during the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D., was located in the present-day Reşca village—Dobrosloveni commune, Olt County, Romania. Most of the Roman town remains are underneath Reşca village premises, the areas suitable for archaeological or geophysical research being limited. This paper presents an integrated geophysical study carried out in the Central Fort zone of the archaeological site in September 2020, which included magnetic, gravity, and geoelectrical (ERT—Electrical Resistivity Tomography) surveys. The magnetic survey covered the entire Central Fort area (3 hectares), in continuous data acquisition mode, using profiles with approximately N-S orientation and 2 m spacing between the profiles. The gravity and ERT surveys were conducted on profiles with NE–SW and NW–SE orientation, with 2 m spacing between successive gravity measurements and 0.8 or 1 m electrode spacing. The geophysical data analysis revealed distinct anomalous zones and lineaments with preferential NW–SE and NE–SW orientations, likely corresponding to Roman construction elements incorporating baked bricks or stone, brick debris, pits, or furnaces. An anomalous lineament possibly corresponding to an underground sewer or drainage channel was also detected in the northern extremity of the surveyed perimeter. These preliminary results demonstrate the applicability of the selected geophysical investigation methods in the specific conditions of Reşca–Romula archeological site. A future research direction consists of testing the validity of the geophysical survey results through systematic archaeological excavations.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/113759512/Geophysical_Researches_at_the_Roman_Archaeological_Site_Romula_Olt_County_Romania"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="5" data-entity-id="105238248" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/105238248/MART%C3%8DNEZ_PAG%C3%81N_P_MART%C3%8DNEZ_SEGURA_M_QUEVEDO_A_et_al_2023_Electrical_Resistivity_Tomography_for_Archaeological_Characterization_of_a_Late_Antique_Island_Occupation_Isla_del_Fraile_Spain_NEAR_SURFACE_GEOSCIENCE_International_Congress_Edinburgh_3_7_september_2023">MARTÍNEZ-PAGÁN, P., MARTÍNEZ-SEGURA, M., QUEVEDO, A. et al. Due to its extension and urban complexity, it is suggested that this ancient settlement could be a Late Roman insular monastery. As part of the archaeological works, an Electrical Resistivity Tomography field campaign was conducted to assist archaeologists to identify hidden subsurface terraced patterns on which new buried structures could be exposed by additional excavation works. These preliminary geophysical results have pinpointed the presence of terrace-shaped subsurface structures that could confirm the existence of new buried structures located in a second upper level. These non-invasive techniques can save time, costs, and efforts in archaeological prospection and yield detailed images of subsurface anomalies. We present the results of quasi-3D ERT measurements in an area of a presumed Roman construction, using a dense electrode network of parallel and orthogonal profiles in dipole-dipole configuration. A roll-along technique has been utilized to cover a large part of the archaeological site with a 0.25 cm electrode and profile spacing, respectively. We have designed a new field procedure, which used an electrode array fixed in a frame. This facilitated a very efficient field operation, and overall a total of 9648 electrode positions was occupied. The 3D ERT inversion results clearly characterize the main structures of the Roman foundations. We compared our highresolution 3D electrical resistivity model with findings from archaeological excavations, which have been done in some parts of the surveyed area. The ERT result coincide well with the excavations results, i.e. the location as well as the vertical and horizontal extensions of the structures could be precisely imaged. The ERT result successfully images most parts of the walls, pits and also smaller internal structures of the Roman building; moreover, excavation ditches that had been refilled prior to the ERT survey are delineated as resistivity heterogeneities as well.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Very-high-resolution electrical resistivity imaging of buried foundations of a roman villa near Nonnweiler, Saarland","attachmentId":56680111,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/36737111/Very_high_resolution_electrical_resistivity_imaging_of_buried_foundations_of_a_roman_villa_near_Nonnweiler_Saarland","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/36737111/Very_high_resolution_electrical_resistivity_imaging_of_buried_foundations_of_a_roman_villa_near_Nonnweiler_Saarland"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="7" data-entity-id="64793471" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/64793471/Non_invasive_Geophysical_Surveys_in_Search_of_the_Roman_Temple_of_Augustus_Under_the_Cathedral_of_Tarragona_Catalonia_Spain_A_Case_Study">Non-invasive Geophysical Surveys in Search of the Roman Temple of Augustus Under the Cathedral of Tarragona (Catalonia, Spain): A Case Study</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="29809412" href="https://independent.academia.edu/MahjoubHimi">Mahjoub Himi</a></div><p class="ds-related-work--metadata ds2-5-body-xs">Surveys in Geophysics</p><p class="ds-related-work--abstract ds2-5-body-sm">An integrated geophysical survey has been conducted at the Tarragona's Cathedral (Catalonia, NE Spain) with the aim to confirm the potential occurrence of archaeological remains of the Roman Temple dedicated to the Emperor Augustus. Many hypotheses have been proposed about its possible location, the last ones regarding the inner part of the Cathedral, which is one of the most renowned temples of Spain (twelfth century) evolving from Romanesque to Gothic styles. A geophysical project including electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) and ground probing radar (GPR) was planned over 1 year considering the administrative and logistic difficulties of such a project inside a cathedral of religious veneration. Finally, both ERT and GPR have been conducted during a week of intensive overnight surveys that provided detailed information on subsurface existing structures. The ERT method has been applied using different techniques and arrays, ranging from standard Wenner-Schlumberger 2D sections to full 3D electrical imaging with the advanced Maximum Yield Grid array. Electrical resistivity data were recorded extensively, making available many thousands of apparent resistivity data to obtain a complete 3D image after a full inversion. The purpose was to outline the location of the main body of the ancient Villa Medici di Pratolino, of which only a separate building, now known as Villa Demidoff, is visible in its full splendour. The three-dimensional probability-based electrical resistivity tomography inversion (PERTI) approach has been adopted. The three-dimensional resistivity tomography inversion provides evidence at the expected depth of burial of a regular pattern of resistivity relative maxima, mostly distributed along the sides of a mesh closely resembling the structural plan of a building. The almost perfect superposition of the high resistivity source image over an official historical plan of the ancient Villa Medici has allowed the regular mesh of the resistivity maxima to be ascribed to remains of walls. As the Pratolino case-history is one of the first applications of the PERTI algorithm to real field datasets, its performance has been tested using the well-known ERTLab commercial software as a benchmark. The comparison has shown a very good agreement between the two inversions and also confirmed the much higher computing speed and greater versatility of the PERTI algorithm, as outlined in a previous paper where only synthetic models were tested.</p><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Resistivity Tomography in the Park of Pratolino at Vaglia (Florence, Italy)","attachmentId":30393326,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/2093945/Resistivity_Tomography_in_the_Park_of_Pratolino_at_Vaglia_Florence_Italy_","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/2093945/Resistivity_Tomography_in_the_Park_of_Pratolino_at_Vaglia_Florence_Italy_"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div><div class="ds-related-work--container js-wsj-grid-card" data-collection-position="9" data-entity-id="12994177" data-sort-order="default"><a class="ds-related-work--title js-wsj-grid-card-title ds2-5-body-md ds2-5-body-link" href="https://www.academia.edu/12994177/Electrical_resistivity_tomography_investigation_at_the_ancient_site_of_Parion_Northwest_Turkey">Electrical resistivity tomography investigation at the ancient site of Parion, Northwest Turkey</a><div class="ds-related-work--metadata"><a class="js-wsj-grid-card-author ds2-5-body-sm ds2-5-body-link" data-author-id="32207901" href="https://independent.academia.edu/alperdemirci1">alper demirci</a></div><div class="ds-related-work--ctas"><button class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"wsj-grid-card-download-pdf-modal","work_title":"Electrical resistivity tomography investigation at the ancient site of Parion, Northwest Turkey","attachmentId":45793220,"attachmentType":"pdf","work_url":"https://www.academia.edu/12994177/Electrical_resistivity_tomography_investigation_at_the_ancient_site_of_Parion_Northwest_Turkey","alternativeTracking":true}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">download</span><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">Download free PDF</span></button><a class="ds2-5-text-link ds2-5-text-link--inline js-wsj-grid-card-view-pdf" href="https://www.academia.edu/12994177/Electrical_resistivity_tomography_investigation_at_the_ancient_site_of_Parion_Northwest_Turkey"><span class="ds2-5-text-link__content">View PDF</span><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 18px" translate="no">chevron_right</span></a></div></div></div></div><div class="ds-sticky-ctas--wrapper js-loswp-sticky-ctas hidden"><div class="ds-sticky-ctas--grid-container"><div class="ds-sticky-ctas--container"><button class="ds2-5-button js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"continue-reading-button--sticky-ctas","attachmentId":65337089,"attachmentType":"pdf","workUrl":null}">See full PDF</button><button class="ds2-5-button ds2-5-button--secondary js-swp-download-button" data-signup-modal="{"location":"download-pdf-button--sticky-ctas","attachmentId":65337089,"attachmentType":"pdf","workUrl":null}"><span class="material-symbols-outlined" style="font-size: 20px" translate="no">download</span>Download PDF</button></div></div></div><div class="ds-below-fold--grid-container"><div class="ds-work--container js-loswp-embedded-document"><div class="attachment_preview" data-attachment="Attachment_65337089" style="display: none"><div class="js-scribd-document-container"><div class="scribd--document-loading js-scribd-document-loader" style="display: block;"><img alt="Loading..." src="//a.academia-assets.com/images/loaders/paper-load.gif" /><p>Loading Preview</p></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><div class="scribd--no-preview-alert js-preview-unavailable"><p>Sorry, preview is currently unavailable.
