it is the gift of God, <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-9.htm#literal"><b>9</b></a></span>not from out of works, so that not anyone may boast. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-10.htm#literal"><b>10</b></a></span>For we are His work, having been created in Christ Jesus upon good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we should walk in them.<p> <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-11.htm#literal"><b>11</b></a></span>Therefore remember that you once were ethnicities in the flesh, the ones being called the uncircumcision by that being called the circumcision in the flesh made by hand&#8212; <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-12.htm#literal"><b>12</b></a></span>That you were at the time separate from Christ, alienated from the citizenship of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, not having hope, and without God (godless) in the world. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-13.htm#literal"><b>13</b></a></span>However now in Christ Jesus, you once being far away have become near in the blood of Christ. <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-14.htm#literal"><b>14</b></a></span>For He himself is our peace having made both one and has broken down the middle barrier of the partition (fencing in), <span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/ephesians/2-15.htm#literal"><b>15</b></a></span>Having annulled the enmity in His flesh, the law of commandments in ordinances, so that he might create the two in Himself into one new man, making peace;
