They also support our goal of achieving zero emissions.</p> <p>The Simandou project holds national significance for Guinea and is a critical resource for the world. The high-grade Simandou iron ore is suitable for conversion into steel via less carbon intensive methods, making Simandou a key enabler of the decarbonisation of industries dependent on the use of steel.</p> <p>Through direct investment in the economy, job creation, and infrastructure enhancement, the Simandou project will revolutionize the lives of Guinea’s residents. We have already generated over 9,400 jobs and will provide training to ensure the long-term development of local communities and businesses.</p> <p>By utilising our experience and expertise for the Simandou project, we aim to bolster Guinea’s reputation as a global mining center, attracting additional projects and increased international investment. To achieve this, we will significantly improve local infrastructure by establishing a multi-user railway through the TransGuin茅en Company (CTG).
