Our lab utilizes advanced technologies, including single-cell and spatial profiling, to tackle challenging biological questions. In this role, you will serve as both an experimental and computational expert, optimizing workflows, analyzing emerging data, and pushing current technologies and computational algorithms to the cutting edge. Your contributions will directly support Calico鈥檚 mission to enhance human healthspan and lifespan.聽</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Designing, conducting, analyzing and interpreting hands-on experiments</li> <li>Collaborating closely with our machine learning and image analysis groups</li> <li>Innovating our single-cell and spatial transcriptomics methods to improve data interpretation and result quality</li> </ul></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-field-textarea-job-requirements field-type-text-long field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Job Requirements<span class="colon">:</span> </div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><p><strong>Position Requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>PhD in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Genome Sciences, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, or related fields</li> <li>Hands-on laboratory NGS experience</li> <li>Familiarity with spatial and single cell genomics workflows (Nanostring, Vizgen, Xenium, SMART-seq, Scale, Parse, etc.)</li> <li>Strong bioinformatics skills with substantial experience in genomic data analysis using R and/or Python</li> <li>Must be willing to work onsite five days a week</li> </ul> <p><strong>Nice To Have:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience working with cell culture</li> <li>Experience with tissue processing and handling</li> <li>Experience with cryostat and/or microtome & histology techniques聽</li> </ul> <p>The estimated base salary range for this role is $127,000 - $135,000. Actual pay will be based on a number of factors including experience and qualifications.
