Arise, call to your God! Perhaps God will save us and we will not be destroyed!’<p> <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jonah/1-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And they said, each man to companion, ’come, we will cast lots and we will know because of whom this evil has come upon us, and they cast lots and the lot of Yonan came up <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/jonah/1-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And they said to him: ’Show us why this evil has come upon us!
