Museum of the Royal Navy鈥檚 collections tell the epic story of the Royal Navy from its origins in 625AD to today and is the most comprehensive collection of Royal Navy heritage in the UK. This collections portal allows users to search the vast majority of these collection of over 2.5 million items.</p> <p>We recognise that items in our collections represent the diversity and complexities of the history of the Royal Navy and human history generally. Items therefore reflect the time and environment in which they were created or originate from, and as a result may contain material or images which users now may find upsetting or offensive. Staff at the museum have begun the process of exploring and reviewing our collections and the stories they represent to determine how they can be appropriately showcased and discussed in a modern forum.</p> <p>Items which have so far been identified as containing upsetting or offensive material will be marked with Content Warnings. However, if you find any other records which you find upsetting or offensive please get in touch at <a href="mailto:collections.research@nmrn.org.uk">collections.research@nmrn.org.uk</a> or through the request page. Please ensure to quote the object number. We will then review the record, and amend or remove it accordingly.</p> <p>Our staff are always busy caring for and managing these collections which includes working to improve and add to the records found in this catalogue. Please constantly check back for more additions and new details.</p> <h2>Using Images</h2> <p>Users will have access to images of our collections on our collections portal.
