name="2"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-1.htm#aramaic"><b>1</b></a></span>Manassheh was a son of twelve years when he became king, and he reigned fiftyfive years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother was Khebtsibah. <A name="3"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-2.htm#aramaic"><b>2</b></a></span>And he did evil before LORD JEHOVAH, like the defilement of the Gentiles whom LORD JEHOVAH destroyed from before the children of Israel. <A name="4"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-3.htm#aramaic"><b>3</b></a></span>And he turned and built the high places that Hezekiah his father had torn down, and he raised up altars to Baal and he made dreaded things, as Akhab King of Israel had done, and he bowed to all the host of Heaven and he worked for them. <A name="5"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-4.htm#aramaic"><b>4</b></a></span>And he built altars in the house of LORD JEHOVAH, who had said, “In Jerusalem I shall put my name.” <A name="6"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-5.htm#aramaic"><b>5</b></a></span>And he built altars to all the host of Heaven in the two courtyards of the house of LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="7"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-6.htm#aramaic"><b>6</b></a></span>And he made his son to pass into fire, and he consulted an oracle and practiced sorcery, and made Necromancers and Soothsayers, and he increased doing evil before LORD JEHOVAH to anger him. <A name="8"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-7.htm#aramaic"><b>7</b></a></span>And he placed the image of the dreaded thing that he had made in the house of LORD JEHOVAH, in the house of which LORD JEHOVAH had said to David and to Solomon his son: “In this his house and in Jerusalem which I have chosen from all the tribes of Israel, to put my name there for eternity. <A name="9"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-8.htm#aramaic"><b>8</b></a></span>And I shall not continue to make the feet of Israel roam from the land that I have given to their fathers, if only they will keep and they will do everything that I have commanded them and every law that my Servant Moshe commanded them.” <A name="10"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-9.htm#aramaic"><b>9</b></a></span>And they did not listen, and Manassheh led them astray, and he did what is evil, more than the nations that LORD JEHOVAH destroyed from before the sons of Israel.<p> <A name="11"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-10.htm#aramaic"><b>10</b></a></span>And LORD JEHOVAH spoke by the agency of his Servants the Prophets <A name="12"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-11.htm#aramaic"><b>11</b></a></span>“Because Manassheh son of Hezekiah King of Yehuda did these works and did evil more than all that the Amorites had done before him, and he caused Yehuda to sin with his idols <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-12.htm#aramaic"><b>12</b></a></span>Because of this, thus says LORD JEHOVAH, God of Israel: ‘Behold, I bring evil on Yehuda and upon Jerusalem, so that everyone who will hear it, his two ears will tingle. <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-13.htm#aramaic"><b>13</b></a></span>And I shall cast upon Jerusalem the cord of Samaria and the plum line of the house of Akhab, and I shall strike Jerusalem and I shall destroy it, because of all the evil that Manassheh practiced in Yehuda <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-14.htm#aramaic"><b>14</b></a></span>And I shall forsake the rest of my inheritance and I shall deliver them into the hand of their enemies, and they shall be for prey and for being downtrodden by all of their enemies <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-15.htm#aramaic"><b>15</b></a></span>Because they have done evil before me, and they were angering me from the day that their fathers had gone out from Egypt and until today.”<p> <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-16.htm#aramaic"><b>16</b></a></span>Also Manassheh shed very much innocent blood until he filled Jerusalem, end to end, apart from his sins which he caused Yehuda to sin, and he did evil before LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-17.htm#aramaic"><b>17</b></a></span>And the rest of the words of Manassheh and everything that he did, and the sins that he sinned, behold, they are written in the book of The Chronicles of the Kings of Yehuda. <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-18.htm#aramaic"><b>18</b></a></span>And Manassheh fell asleep with his parents, and he was buried in the garden of his house in the garden of the treasury, and Amon his son became king after him.<p> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-19.htm#aramaic"><b>19</b></a></span>Amon was a son of twenty two years when he became king, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother was Meshelemeth, daughter of Kheduts, from Yatbath. <A name="21"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-20.htm#aramaic"><b>20</b></a></span>And he did evil before LORD JEHOVAH, like what Manassheh his father did <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-21.htm#aramaic"><b>21</b></a></span>And he walked in all the ways where his father had walked, and he served the idols which his father had served, and he bowed to them <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-22.htm#aramaic"><b>22</b></a></span>And he abandoned LORD JEHOVAH, the God of his fathers, and he did not walk in the way of LORD JEHOVAH. <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-23.htm#aramaic"><b>23</b></a></span>And the Servants of Amon rebelled against him, and they killed him in his house. <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-24.htm#aramaic"><b>24</b></a></span>And the people of the land killed all who rebelled against King Amon, and the people of the land made Yoshiah his son king after him. <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/parallel/2_kings/21-25.htm#aramaic"><b>25</b></a></span>And the rest of the words of Amon, and everything that he
