organisé dans le cadre des Carrefours de l’histoire du sport s’est déjà tenu à Besançon en 1996 et a donné lieu à un livre de référence dans le domaine. Quelques années plus tard, un DEA d’histoire codirigé par François Marcot et Jean-François Loudcher portait sur ce sujet. Ce travail a néanmoins donné lieu à quelques interventions et, surtout, a permis de mettre à jour les archives inédites du service municipal des sports de 1940 à 1990.
