payments</h3><p>Visa and Mastercard payments to the Department of the House of Representatives are facilitated through the Reserve Bank of Australia’s secure payment gateway.</p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Card type</h3><p>Credit card payments can only be accepted from Visa and MasterCard. For an alternative method of payment please email <a href="mailto:finance.reps@aph.gov.au?subject=Payment%20options">finance.reps@aph.gov.au</a>. Emails are monitored during business hours and will be responded to as soon as possible. </p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Card payment fee</h3><p>A card payment fee will not be applied to your transaction. </p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Card payment receipts</h3><p>Once your payment has been completed you will be provided with a receipt including a receipt number, your registration name and the event name. This receipt will constitute a valid tax invoice. If you require a separate tax invoice or receipt please email <a href="mailto:finance.reps@aph.gov.au?subject=Request%20for%20tax%20invoice">finance.reps@aph.gov.au</a> and provide your receipt. Please allow 7–10 business days for your request to be processed.</p><p>The payment details will be displayed on your card statement as ‘Dept House of Reps’.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading">Refund and Transfer policy</h2><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Transfers</h3><p>Transferring event bookings from one person to another is permitted provided you have advised the event contact person prior to the commencement of the event and you receive acknowledgement of the receipt of that advice. There is no option to transfer to another event. </p><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Cancellations</h3><p>The following policy applies for all event cancellation requests received by the event contact person as nominated on the event website: </p><ul class="wp-block-list"><li><strong>5 or more business days’ notice before the event</strong> — a full refund will be given.</li> <li><strong>1 to 4 business days’ notice before the course</strong> — no refund will be given.</li> <li>No refund is available if notice of cancellation is received on the day of the course or for non-attendance.</li> <li>No credits will be given for cancellations.</li></ul><h3 class="wp-block-heading">Event cancellations by the department</h3><p>The department reserves the right to cancel, at its sole discretion, any particular event.
