So likewise ye, when ye have done all <Fr><i>things</i><FR> that were commanded you, say we are unprofitable servants, for we have done <Fr><i>only</i><FR> what we ought to do.<Fr><p> <A name="12"></a><p class="hdg">The Ten Lepers<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-11.htm"><b>11</b></a></span>And as He was going to Jerusalem, He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee; <A name="13"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-12.htm"><b>12</b></a></span>and as He entered into a certain village, there met Him ten men <i>that were</i> lepers: <A name="14"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-13.htm"><b>13</b></a></span>who stood at a distance, and lifted up <i>their</i> voice, saying, Jesus master, have pity on us. <A name="15"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-14.htm"><b>14</b></a></span>And when He saw <i>them,</i> He said unto them, <FR>Go and shew yourselves to the priests.<Fr> And it came to pass as they were going, they were cleansed. <A name="16"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-15.htm"><b>15</b></a></span>And one of them, perceiving that he was healed, returned, with a loud voice glorifying God: <A name="17"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-16.htm"><b>16</b></a></span>and fell prostrate at his feet, giving Him thanks; and He was a Samaritan. <A name="18"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-17.htm"><b>17</b></a></span>And Jesus answered and said, <FR>Were not <Fr><i>all</i><FR> the ten cleansed? and where <Fr><i>are</i><FR> the <Fr><i>other</i><FR> nine?<Fr> <A name="19"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-18.htm"><b>18</b></a></span><FR>Are there none returning to give glory to God, but this stranger?<Fr> <A name="20"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-19.htm"><b>19</b></a></span>And He said to him, <FR>Arise, go thy way; thy faith hath saved thee.<Fr><p> <A name="21"></a><p class="hdg">The Coming of the Kingdom<p><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-20.htm"><b>20</b></a></span>And being asked by the pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, He answered and said, <FR>the kingdom of God cometh not with observation.<Fr> <A name="22"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-21.htm"><b>21</b></a></span><FR>Neither shall they say, Behold <Fr><i>it is</i><FR> here, or behold <Fr><i>it is</i><FR> there; for the kingdom of God is within you.<Fr><p> <A name="23"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-22.htm"><b>22</b></a></span>And He said to the disciples, <FR>the time will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see <Fr><i>it.</i> <A name="24"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-23.htm"><b>23</b></a></span><FR>And they will say to you, Behold, <Fr><i>He is</i><FR> here, or behold <Fr><i>He is</i><FR> there: <Fr><i>but</i><FR> go not after <Fr><i>them,</i><FR> nor follow <Fr><i>them.</i> <A name="25"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-24.htm"><b>24</b></a></span><FR>For as the lightning which lightneth from the one <Fr><i>part</i><FR> of heaven shineth to the <Fr><i>other</i><FR>: so also shall the Son of man be in his day.<Fr> <A name="26"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-25.htm"><b>25</b></a></span><FR>But He must suffer many things first, and be rejected by this generation.<Fr> <A name="27"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-26.htm"><b>26</b></a></span><FR>And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.<Fr> <A name="28"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-27.htm"><b>27</b></a></span><FR>They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being married, till the day that Noah went into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed <Fr><i>them</i><FR> all.<Fr> <A name="29"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-28.htm"><b>28</b></a></span><FR>And as it was likewise in the days of Lot; they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, <Fr><i>and</i><FR> building:<Fr> <A name="30"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-29.htm"><b>29</b></a></span><FR>but the <Fr><i>very</i><FR> day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed <Fr><i>them</i><FR> all.<Fr> <A name="31"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-30.htm"><b>30</b></a></span><FR>Thus shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.<Fr> <A name="32"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-31.htm"><b>31</b></a></span><FR>In that day, who<Fr><i>ever</i><FR> shall be on the house-top, and his goods in the house, let him not come down <Fr><i>into it</i><FR> to take them away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.<Fr> <A name="33"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-32.htm"><b>32</b></a></span><FR>Remember Lot's wife. Whosoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it;<Fr> <A name="34"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-33.htm"><b>33</b></a></span><FR>and whosoever will venture <Fr><i>his life,</i><FR> shall preserve it.<Fr> <A name="35"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-34.htm"><b>34</b></a></span><FR>In that night there shall be two in one bed; the one shall be taken and the other left:<Fr> <A name=""></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-35.htm"><b>35</b></a></span><FR>two <Fr><i>women</i><FR> shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken and the other left:<Fr> <A name="37"></a><span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-35.htm"><b>36</b></a></span><FR>two <Fr><i>men</i><FR> shall be in the field; the one shall be taken and the other left.<Fr> <span class="reftext"><a href="/luke/17-35.htm"><b>37</b></a></span>And they answered and said unto Him, Where, Lord?
