Support bei Problemen garantieren k枚nnen, da die ganze Community im Endeffekt nur aus freiwilligen <a href="https://www.mozilla.org/credits/">"Contributors"</a> besteht. Trotzdem gibt es eine sehr engagierte Entwicklergemeinde, die neue Versionen herstellt sowieso eine breite Gruppe an erfahrenen Benutzern, die besonders in den <a href="newsgroups.html">Newsgroups</a> anderen Benutzern mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht und Fragen beantwortet sowie viele Probleme l枚sen kann.</section><section class="faqitem" id="BinaryArchive"><p class="faqquestion"><a href="//faq/mozde#BinaryArchive">*)</a> Das "Binary" ist eine .zip-Datei (Windows), bzw. eine .tar.gz-Datei (Linux), wie kann ich das verwenden?</p>Diese Dateien m眉ssen mit einem Archiv-Programm (Windows: z.B. WinZip, Linux: z.B. tar oder ark) in ein Verzeichnis entpackt werden und dort mit "seamonkey" gestartet werden. (Windows: seamonkey.exe im "SeaMonkey"-Verzeichnis starten; Linux: ins "seamonkey"-Verzeichnis wechseln und dort mit ./seamonkey starten).<br> F眉r Windows gibt es auch Installationspakete, die einfacher zu installieren sind.</section><section class="faqitem" id="OnlyParts"><p class="faqquestion"><a href="//faq/mozde#OnlyParts">*)</a> Nach dem Installieren des deutschen XPI Language Packs ist nur ein Teil ins Deutsche 眉bersetzt, wie kann ich das beheben?</p>Warum dieser Fehler manchmal auftritt, ist unklar. In allen bisher gemeldeten F盲llen konnte dieser aber einfach behoben werden:<ol><li>Die Sprache wieder (in "Edit > Preferences > Appearance" bzw. "Bearbeiten > Einstellungen > Erscheinungsbild") auf "English (US)" umstellen und SeaMonkey neu starten</li><li>Die Sprache wieder auf "Deutsch" zur眉ckstellen und Mozilla abermals neu starten<br> Jetzt sollte wie gewohnt das gesamte Programm 眉bersetzt sein.</li><li>Falls es trotzdem nicht korrekt funktioniert:<br> SeaMonkey beenden, die Datei XUL.mfl (oder XUL.mfasl auf unix, Mozilla Fastload File am Mac) im <a href="http://www.hmetzger.de/Profilverzeichnisse.html">pers枚nlichen Profil</a> l枚schen, neu starten.<br> Das sollte dann klappen. Leider wurde bei einem alten Problem (<a href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=142623">Bug 142623</a>) nur ein Workaround installiert, aber keine L枚sung. Was ist da los?</p>Laut mehrfachen Virenchecks aller "betroffenen" Dateien, inkl. aller Installationspakete, die von unseren Webseiten verlinkt sind, mit verschiedenen Antiviren-Programmen (H+BDEV AntiVir, Norton Antivirus, ClamAV usw.) konnte in keiner der Dateien ein Virus oder Trojaner best盲tigt werden.<br> Eine Auskunft aus Internet-Quellen erbrachte folgendes:<br> Ein Teil des Programmcodes, den SfxMaker erzeugt (wird zum erstellen des Archivs benutzt), scheint genau mit einem Teil der Signatur dieses Virus bzw. Trojaners 眉bereinzustimmen.
